Great knife! Model correct, picture and description incorrect...
Like the other reviewer stated, the picture here is of the M16-14DSFG, but no worries, the product that arrived at my house is indeed the M16-13DSFG. Also, the info "from the manufacturer" is incorrect, although they do get the model number right. This knife has a 3.5 inch blade, not 3 inches and the blade steel is not the Japanese AUS8, but rather the Chinese 8Cr14MoV, which according to all accounts compares very closely and favorably to AUS8 and is a great steel for almost every task you can throw at this great little knife. The knife itself is as solid as can be and the blade locks out smoothly and quickly using the Carson flipper. I love that. Of course it is wickedly sharp out of the box and there is absolutely no play in the blade either side to side or up and down on my knife once it is locked out. The AutoLAWKS feature gives me an added sense of security that there is no way this blade is going to close on my hand and with only a couple of minutes of practice I found myself being able to operate the feature and close the knife one-handed with ease. This is my first CRKT knife and having had knives from other manufacturers I am now a big CRKT fan due to their practical design, well made, solid components and very high value for the price. So, in conclusion, this is a great knife for everyday carry (EDC), with a perfect size (for me!) blade, weight and length to put or clip in your pocket or to put in your purse for the ladies here on Amazon. If you are looking for something with a bigger blade and a longer profile when closed, take a look at the 3.875 inch blade M16-14DSFG. All specs for these knives are easily found on the manufacturer's website.

Great Knife
This knife is extremely sharp. Nothing on it is shiny and it is very light. It folds so that you can carry it in your pocket. The blade is not long enough to be troubled by the concealed weapon law. I am a first time knife purchaser and had to have help with opening and closing. I had help from a Marine who was at the tip of the spear into Bagdad. The directions are basically worthless. When you contact the company they will use words you may not know. The sharp tip makes it a Tanto. That means it is a very sharp penetrating blade. The serrated part is obvious. The dull black metal piece is a belt clip. The small red button is a release. The two projections of the side are functional levers to open and close the blade. I have learned to open it with a single flip of the arm and hand and the release. Closing it is the hardest. When it is open, your must get you thumb nail into the handle and move a lever aside and them hold it while you push on the side projection. It will not snap shut on you thumb so you have plenty time to move it away. So far I have only cut a branch off with the serrated part. I carry it in my purse and if I get back to walking the river it will be in my pocket. I have defended myself verbally many times but now I am 69. It makes me stand a little taller and keep my head up. Buy this knife, carry it and learn how to use it. It would be great in any situation auch as camping. It looks like plastic but believe me it is not. The design is to not be flashy. It is worth every penny and I cannot recommend it enough. I am a woman but even a man who collects knives and guns could not figure it out. Don't be shy. Get help with opening and closing. I am in love with this knife.

Great overall, watch where you keep it stored though...
Pros: Very nice knife overall. I work with rope all the time at work, and the Veff serrations handle it all with ease when needed. The edge is razor sharp out of the box. The clip is strong and I know it's not falling out of my pocket anytime soon. Acts like a fixed blade when opened because of the added locking mechanism. The frame definitely has some meat to it and is easier to hold than the last knife I had (Gerber EVO Tanto Mid). Cons: My biggest gripe is with the AutoLAWKS system. I've opened it quickly in certain situations and the long pin on the inside dislodges from the groove it rides in on the red locking piece. This ends up completely disabling the added safety function, but the knife still opens and closes normally and still locks open with the normal frame lock. It just needs a small screwdriver to push the pin back into the groove. CRKT offered a warranty replacement, but this has happened twice in maybe a few hundred uses. As long as it's not "snapped" open it works fine. The thumb tab on the back is nice for extra leverage but more often than not it just limits the pockets I can keep it in as it makes the knife very wide. I've also pulled my hand out of my pocket and caught it on that tab several times, leaving the knife partially open and aimed down into my thigh. Not fun, but keeping it in a different pocket eliminates that issue too.

Bad Picture
As other people have said, this knife is not the knife in the picture, if you want to know what it really looks like go to the CRKT website and look it up. The knife in the picture is an M16-14, which is a bit bigger but other than that not too much difference. As for this knife... all in all a pretty good knife, sharp enough to easily shave hair (we'll see how long it stays that way) with a nice G10 handle, happens to be my favorite handle material so needless to say, I'm pleased. the weight and length are right on for what I would consider a mid/large sized EDC knife, easy to handle but big enough to do some serious work if and when needed. Looks really cool, has a pretty unique color scheme that is aesthetically pleasing. After breaking the knife in for a couple of days, it opens smoothly and easily via the flippers. Another great thing is the Veff serrations; this is my first knife with them and they are noticeably better than most other styles of serrations. The only thing I don't really care for about this knife (and this is a subjective kind of thing) is that the flipper/hilt, while cool looking and fun to use, can get in the way if you are trying to choke up on the blade at all or use your thumb on the back of the blade. It is useful for a finger choil on the bottom, but on the top it just gets in the way. Other than that one minor - personal opinion - issue, this knife is very nice, and very affordable... I would recommend it to a friend.

Strong build, easy to open, double blade locking system, good looks.
The CRKT M16 14 has a solid build, good looks and CRKT's quintesential quality control. All screws were snug. The heavy duty pocket clip makes it unlikely to become lost. The blade easily flips out. The double locking system turns this folding knife into a virtual fixed blade. The knife is ergonomic, economic and recommendable as an excellent buy, well worth the money. Rides low in the pocket, both flippers hidden from view.

Great but DULL AND NOT SHARP AT ALL
No joke one of the best quality knifes I’ve ever gotten. Solid frame and overall durability is outstanding. But it was the Dullest knife Ive ever gotten new. I was honestly disappointed with how dull it was knowing CRKT is solid

Top Notch Folder
One of the best EDC folders on the market at an excellent price point. This really is a great knife. Size is perfect, lock-up is solid, and carries easily. Blade edge holds up well to daily use/abuse.

Great Knife
Absolutely love this knife. Put off buying one for awhile and after losing my last EDC knife, felt it was time. Shipping was ok, the knife is excellent. Does take a little bit to get used to closing it, other than that. No issues.
