Didn't work for my project, but would do fine for other jobs
First, let me say that I am an amateur tile setter so maybe just didn't know how best to use this cutter for what I needed. Second, I have set a lot of tile and have another smaller tile cutter of this same brand and type and am experienced in its use. What I needed to do on my current project was to cut 3" x 6" tiles along the long axis. Most of the cuts were less than an inch wide. No matter what I tried, I could not get a cut to work with this unit. I shattered several tiles before giving up. The unit worked fine for cutting the tiles across the short axis, except when making very narrow cuts. Again, let me reiterate that I do not believe the tile cutter is designed badly or anything, I just couldn't get it to work for what I needed. The span of the pressure wings that press the tile after scoring with the cutting wheel just would not apply equal pressure for the narrow cuts I needed or make contact at all with the tile for the narrowest of cuts. I am keeping it for cutting larger floor tiles for another future project and anticipate it will work fine for those 12" tiles.

Not made like they used too.
Since this is not the first Supirior tile cutter I've owned I have a lot of expierience with them. The newer ones seem cheaply made. The gauge it came with that was made in a cast still had a little aluminum from the cast sticking out that made the gauge way off.I had to file it down so it sat squarely. Also after a couple of days use it started marking the tile where the wheel was and when I tried to tighten the wheel it broke. I just ordered a new wheel and will see if it was because the one provided was of lesser quality. I from now on will only order replacement parts for the older ones I have because they seem to be made way better. Also never recieved the first one but Amazon is great by sending another out.

Tile cutter
Works very good. I have the same model that i bought 15 years ago. The new one is not made as nice. The cast aluminum is real bumpy and rough in places. I took a sander to it especially on the seam. But all in all it works good.

Cheap
Wheel cuts are a little rough, the breaker leaves marks on the tile. Please look elsewhere......

A classic that still works
This worked fine for me. Yes, maybe not as neat a casting as the older model I had but scoring wheel was sharp and snapped tiles well. No issues with squareness or ruler

great for saving some trips
It's a bit rough around the edges, but, it's been around for a long time. You have to get used to using it. And, you have to be firm with your movements. Put some tape on the 'wings' to keep them from marking tiles when you snap them. The set screw got bent and I removed it, haven't replaced it yet. Otherwise, great for saving some trips.

so now this is pretty much useless to me
just got the chance to use this and of course the return window has closed. This will not cut porcelain tile it just shatters them. so now this is pretty much useless to me. nothing in the ad said anything about what kind of tile this would cut. If your cutting porcelain get a wet saw.

A decent cutter for inexpensive small tiles
Not like the old one it replaced. A good cutter for repetitive cuts in 4 1/4 by 4 1/4. Have a stone to clean up cut and it’s perfect. Learning curve for newbies and wheel doesn’t align perfectly with 0 mark making finding centers harder.
