My five year old son chose this set on his own accord, and used birthday money for his purchase of a new LEGO set. Safe to say - as a 36 year old man who grew up with hand me down pieces - I got a lot out of the purchase, as well.He is much younger than the suggested 9+ age range, so I adapted by assisting with the build. While I had a focus on keeping the proceedings on track, my son performed a remarkable amount of steps in the process, a testament to the terrific illustrations.The instructions are sizable, but come in a small glue binded magazine, that itself is kept pristine in a flat envelope. Over couple of hours, we traversed the 100+ steps. Stopped for dinner, and an activity switch, and definitely a bathroom break or two.Characters form, crafting tables are created in a single thought, he was a PRO at the foundations for the customizable treehouse rooms (!!!)He still plays with it nights later, moves rooms around, has introduced other characters and confrontations. The longevity is absolutely there.This is the most fun LEGO set we've ever experienced!

Great product, what I wanted, but was supposed to be a surprise birthday gift for my son. It was shipped to me not in an Amazon box, shipping labels were just slapped on the actual product so it ruined the surprise. 😠

Purchase as a Christmas present. (Her first Lego set.) We thought it would take her a few hours or days. NOPE, she had it finished in 1 hour.She now ask for legos all the time. 😄

Perfect gift for my 7yr old Lego kid. Challenging, but just right. Had to get it while available!

The directions were clear. However, it is a fairly complex Lego to construct. Follow the instructions and all will end well.

I think it's a little pricey for that amount of pieces but its still a good set for my kid to enjoy. The instructions are lengthy, but they are packaged in a compact glue-bound magazine that is maintained clean in a flat envelope. We walked the 100+ steps in a couple of hours. Stopped for supper, a change of activities, and, without a doubt, a restroom stop or two. Fun building set
