VERY tiny. Pay attention!
This is a fun little top. It's VERY tiny, way smaller than a key. This would be a significant choking hazard for a small child, so be careful. I have to admit, it works well and spins a long time. My very first spin lasted 4 minutes. It self-balances! It is well made and fun to play with. I dont know why the description only mentions it as a gift for boys and men. I am a woman and I love this little gem. It is hanging by the quick-release hook on the outside of my backpack and is perfect for fidgeting. It attracts children like crazy. They all want to spin it, and then want to touch it and knock it over. So cute. Just remember, it's really tiny.

Fun, portable and performs really nice.
I've been collecting small tops and other desktop-type items for diversionary purposes at my day job. For the money, this is probably one of the better finger spinning tops on the market. Sure, the Inception top is fun and less money, but that spins a short amount of time. I was getting super long spin times on this top from the get-go. It's set up to clip to your keychain so it can become a part of your EDC. For me, this will go in a nice jewelry-type tray you can get at a hobby store so it's ready for my use when I want it. I don't want it to get nicked and dinged up on my keychain(which includes tools on it for yoyos such as a snag picker, a bearing puller and an axle tool). It will be kept company with some other tops, spinners and other "toys".I would suggest if you want long spin times, a good hard and flat surface is ideal, such as a mirror, a concave lens, a suitable piece of glass(such as a disc) or some wood desks. It does not work well on rough surfaces. Then again, no tops work well on those kind of surfaces.Since I can't often take breaks and play yoyos or use an acrobatic top during my breaks, items like these are key to breaking up the grind of my day. Sometimes I'll just spin this and then do something at my desk while it spins. When it stops, start again and repeat the pattern. It is not super-self balancing. It is stable and if you give it a good spin, it will stay spinning. It won't necessarily correct to absolutely straight up and down. It will sort itself out from a wobbly spin into a better spin and keep spinning a really long time for it's size and weight. I'm enjoying having this.

It is a waste of time!
And, it spins forever!

Spins superbly...but
This spinner spins beautifully. The only complaint I have is that the hole in the end of the spinner is too small so it doesn't hang loosely on its clip. I'm thinking maybe the helpful hardware man can...help. I'm giving them as little gifts this year.

10/10 would buy 100
Exactly what I've been looking for, this is the first top I've found that actually has a decent weight, size, and the best possible method for taking it with you anywhere. Also, I really hate myself for how that sounded, because I'm just leaving a real review right now. I literally just got this thing (on a Sunday from USPS) and ordered it about 2 days ago, they shipped it from about 2 cities over in Florida so I can't say it will be fast for people outside of FL but don't let that deter you. This thing is lightweight since it's a keychain but also heavy enough that it has an excellent spin time. Started spinning when I started typing, proofread just now real quick, and it's still spinning. Stays in 1 spot as (just stopped spinning) well as long as you don't start it at an angle or aren't shaking. If it were any bigger it wouldn't be as great, the circumference is about equal to my thumb nail and it looks a little past 1 inch.

Fun little top!
The media could not be loaded. My wife purchased this for me as a stocking stuffer this Christmas and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a nice size for actually attaching to a keychain (not too big to have in my pocket all the time). It's small but solid and seems well made. Hopefully the key clip will last!My kids and I have had fun timing our spins and seeing if we could beat the "5 minute challenge" from the card that comes with it. After switching to a glass surface (we pulled a picture off the wall), I was able to get over 5 minutes on my second try. (see attached video)

Ingenious Way to Pass Idle Time (PB=2:44)
Well-designed and executed little keychain. Has some nice weight to it at 9 grams (a touch lighter than a AAA battery) that -- with the aid of the gnurled stem -- allows for some lengthy spins. I'm currently attempting to break my personal best of 2:36.I'm big on small wallets and compact keys. In fact, my current set of keys include a standard keyfob, 1 key for work, 1 key for home, and a Tile square. I've yet to decide if it's worth the extra space/weight (...2:44!) to keep it on my keyring full time; every now and then the top positions itself in a way that adds a slight extra 'buldge' from the width of the top while in my front pocket. But if I do decide I don't like that, I'd simple just keep the top handy on my office desk for a little excitement during rather lackluster telephone conversations because, let's face it... $15 is a steal for anything that helps pass that kind of time.

Nice little top
A bit smaller than I expected, but I think the size really helps you snap it up to speed easily. It is very easy to spin thanks to the knurling. I averaged 2:30 per spin on a mirror. My top base is coming in the mail, and I hope to get longer times on that.I deducted one star due to the keychain hole. Note - even in the pictures above the keychain hole is horribly off center. Luckily mine is not that bad.It is imperfect, and though small, this will affect balance and reduce spin time and stability. Not to mention, if you carry this on a keychain, at some point you are going to ruin the tip. It should be carried in a case where it will not hit anything hard, or be squished possibly bending the shaft.Seller - please make a version without a hole in it.
