Sounds complicated, but works great
My first thought when I saw these motion sensing, daylight sensing light bulbs was that they were too complicated and something would not work right. I'm delighted to say that they screwed into our existing fixture and are providing exactly what we needed without us having to buy a new fixture. A feature I like for our current situation might be less desirable for some, when motion is detected, the light stays on for 5 minutes. This is not adjustable. Most systems are around 20 seconds after last motion. This works great for us because the dog run is long and 20 seconds is kinda short. Highly recommended.

Easy alternative to replacing a fixture.
I tried these as an alternative to replacing several outdoor fixtures to get a motion sensor light. They've been up a couple of months now and work well. The have a range of 25-30 feet depending on aim, are quite bright, and stay on about 5 minutes. Overall I'm pleased. Now if they just scared the deer out of the garden....

Worst ever
I ordered two of these lights for a porch room wired without a switched outlet. The original order was installed by a licensed electrician but the lights failed to turn off once the circuit breaker was turned on. I called the manufacturer and was told to turn the breaker on and off four times, which I did but the lights stayed on period. They were removed and thankfully Amazon reimbursed me the cost. But I ordered these two fixtures again that are nice in appearance but these lights had a mind of their own turning on and off by themselves until I removed them for good knowing full well these lights fail to do what they advertise.

Great Product! Easy Install
I loved how easy it was to swap these bulbs out still using my existing fixtures and create the motion sensing light feature. Just a few trips up step ladder and the front of my house is now better lit to come on with motion in the night.
