Broke first time I used it
The media could not be loaded. Poorly made broke the first time I used it tried it on old weather rotted partical board didn't even make three swings. If you're like me I bought this as emergency servival equipment I keep in my car. Was at work today and needed to break apart a old shelf. It was so weather rotted I ended up just kicking it apart. But I thought the axe would be faster. So I got excited I had a reason to finely use it. 2 swings later and I found out.If it would have been a camping or emergency situation. I'd be toast if your equipment can't survive 2 minutes. Then what are your chances?Anyways I'd definitely recommend another brand. If you're planning on getting any use out of this it's not the one for you..

The saying says you get for what you pay for but not in this case
I looked at many different sets before I chose this one I saw others that were 3,4 and five times the price of this one and thought well I’ll settle for this one I was pleasantly surprised to see that sometimes you get way more than you pay for the quality exceeded my expectations what was included exceeded my expectations and I was very pleasantly surprised very happy love it amazing deal for the money

Perfect for car/truck camping, sturdy tools and nice case
Our family hikes and camps on a regular basis. This kit is too heavy for long hikes to remote campsites. However, the kit is excellent for when we are able to park close to the campsite. It contains every tool you would need for setting up and securing a tent and rain fly, stringing a hammock, cutting firewood, finding your way if you get lost, digging a hole/covering hot coals, and many other camp chores. The flashlight attaches to the tools so you can even manage all of these chores in the dark. The flashlight zooms in and out and also has several flashing modes. It requires 3 AAA batteries that are very easy to replace. The tools fit the case well but I did have an issue getting the shears to stay in the case securely. The axe is super sharp on arrival so be careful with that also. The tool case is sturdy and closes tightly. Overall, this is a very useful set of tools for camping or basic survival and would make a very nice gift also.

Exceeds expectations. Exceeds 'em a lot
I got ordered this kit out of curiosity and because other reviewers said it isn't crap. I'm really happy with it and it has done wonders for clearing the floorboards of my truck. When I'm going to drive into something that might cause problems, I pack "get outa here" gear that includes axe, shovel, iron bar, high-lift, and come-along. All that stuff sits on the floor in front of the back seat where people step on it and complain about it. This kit puts three of those items in a case in back - plus adds some more stuff.I really like the multitool! It's solid -and- all of the tools are easy to deploy. I have a lot of multitools where it's a struggle to get out the knife blades and stuff. I'm tempted to separate this one from the kit and just carry it as an every day pocket tool. Maybe put one of the not-so-great ones in as a replacement. You will want to supplement this kit with leather gloves, but you already have a few pairs in truck anyways, right? The axe and shovel handles are rugged, but not ergonomic at all. (I'm OK with that). To be certain, the axe isn't a gransfors bruk and I sure wouldn't want to fell trees with it - but it will sure as heck do what I need to un-stick my truck. Same with the shovel - it's no forestry service shovel, but it is solid and moves dirt. I did dig a test hole to see if it got bent. It was fine. The screw-on handle pieces are amazing. They are really solid and transform hatchet into axe, little shovel into longer shovel, screw driver handle into what? A really long handled screw driver? The knife is labeled Browning. It looks like, but is not, one of those cheap knives in that come in those prepacked survival kits. I actually like those cheap knives, this one is better. It's way more solid. Those other ones weigh about 4.7 ounces. This one weights 7 ounces. It appears to have more and better steel. With the axe, knife, and flashlight - this kit is all I need for quartering and skinning an elk. I should drop in one of those cheap ceramic sharpers though. The shears are sharp and the shape of the handles makes them strong. Cool. The flashlight is quite good! Bright, and there's an attachment so it attaches to most everything else in the kit. It would be better if it also had a magnet in the handle to stick it to stuff like the car hood. It would be even better if it were a head lamp with a magnet - but then I wouldn't leave it in the kit because it would too good to leave stowed away. The handle end is interesting. It's one of those multipurpose things with a compass, whistle, fire starting ceramic, and window basher looking thing. The compass is good. It doesn't stick or have weird bubbles. The window basher thing seems pointless because it's not something you can access quickly and bashers are usually quick access items.
