HELPFUL INFORMATION: 108+1 Mala beads have been used by yogis and spiritual seekers for thousands of years to help keep their minds focused during meditation. It is a tool to help you count mantras, and acts as a tactile guide as you sit in silence. What is a Mala ? : A Mala is a string of beads used to count mantras (Sanskrit prayers) in sets of 108 repetitions. What is Mantra? Chanting mantra transform consciousness, promote healing or fulfill desires and is used as a form of meditation. What is Japa ? : Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. This practice is known in Sanskrit as Japa. When Mantras are repeated on beads of Mala, it is called Japa and the mala is called Japa Mala. In Tibetan Buddhism Hinduism, traditionally Malas of 108+1 beads are used. Doing one 108-bead Mala counts as 100 mantra recitations, the extra repetitions done to amend any mistakes in pronunciation or other faults of recitation. Mantra chanting connects the spirit of the universe. A personal Mala absorbs the vibrations of the practice and acts as a talisman and maintains a positive flow of energy throughout the body. Moreover, now a days bead therapy is very common and many people have been benefited by this. When the Mala becomes empowered, it can be worn or lightly placed on oneself or others to transmit the energy of the Mantra as well as the energetic qualities of the Mala. It is not necessary that Mala can only be used for Meditation. It can also be worn as a Necklace to Attract Positive Vibes (all Malas) and bring Medical Benefits.

Always great!
I order so many so often. I keep them as gifts for my yoga and massage clients. I usually “soak” for an hour, dry and then repackage because the brightness of the color worries me. I have no proof anecdotally that they transfer or loose color but I just like to make sure they are handled and get a little energy before gifting.

avoid this mala. size wrong. stain
I've ordered plenty of malas from other vendors in the past. The first one came in a bag, labeled 10mm, but they were clearly 6mm. I figured it was a mistake and returned it. The replacement came the same wayTo make matters worse, these malas are the sort that will stain your clothes. I've heard that some rudraksha malas are coated in turmeric during the blessing. But whatever the case, unless you want orange skin and clothes, you don't want to wear thisIMO, better to just get your mala elsewhere

Beads Mala/Necklace/Japa, Meditation Mala
the size is perfect but poorly packaged, no indication of where this is coming from or instructions of mala beads need to be activated and cared for. The beads stained my skin and clothing when I wore them.

Plastic?
While they may look like the actual bead they feel off. It feels almost plastic. I wish someone from Amazon would let me know if they are. I'd hold off on buying them or go to a reputable mala dealer. Very sad.

Will leave a yellow-gold stain on skin
Seemingly dyed and this coloring comes off on you. Recommendation to the manufacturer would include not dying the beads or washing them thoroughly.
