I bought this to remind myself how to play the recorder so that I can teach my daughter. It is really useful and easy to read. I got the hang of it again quite quickly and found the songs easy to follow.

I teach woodwind and this is my go to book for young children starting on recorder. The kids love the tunes. All notes are written in to aid learning to read music

Very disappointing product. It says it's suitable for children beginning to play the recorder. But the tunes are pretty advanced and include notes children won't learn initially such as the high D or B flat. There are no easy tunes in the book where children only need to know a few notes to get them started.

I bought this because I decided I wanted to learn how to play a recorder after my kids learned it at school. I don’t know how to read music notes but this book makes it pretty easy. I actually had to order a second book because my daughter swiped the first one :) Great for a beginner.

The book itself is very nice, simple and perfect for beginners.But there was some major confusion. For example, when showing the page 'Recorder fingering' shows left hand for the top 4 holes. The adjacent page then says right hand for the top 4 holes!Also some notes seem to be labelled incorrectly which brought about some confusion/frustration. For example a C note is labelled as an A, a D labelled as an B and so on.It's OK if you have some background knowledge to identify the errors but this is meant to be a book for beginners!

I bought this for my 9 year grandson for Christmas along with a recorder. He is very interested in music and loves making music.

Very cute book, perfect for beginners. I purchased for my 7 year old she's is very determined to play, and within the first few days she can play 4 songs. Simple, easy, and has easy to follow instructions and pictures.
