I was hesitant to buy this, but it turned out to be a quality box. I am placing my dog's ashes in it, along with his collar and a few other items. Perfect size and looks very nice on my dresser. Much less money than others I had found on Etsy.

Needed just a little TLC to push these over the top... 1) sand the edges around the lid, they are sharp and can give splinters 2) Cut a piece of felt, leather, or vinyl to cover the bottom and reduce sounds of things sliding around in the boxI bought two!

I bought this four months ago and just pulled it out and notices long cracks along the top and bottom. This was never moved or dropped. I can't believe how bad the cracks are.EDIT: the seller is sending a replacement which is appreciated. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.

Nice sleek color and looks great with my bedroom decor. Big enough to hold alot and still close lid. Sturdy and durable. Would purchase again

The box is well made but the latch broke after about 6 weeks

The box is fairly lightweight for its size. It was larger than I expected. The color was a very matte black, it opens and closes well, and the lamp is an antiqued gold or bronze color. The inside is unfinished. I would have liked to see the inside finished a bit better. There is no lock and I don’t see any way you might add one. There are little rubber pads on the bottom to prevent scratching. I bought the box as decor for my console table and am very happy with it. I don’t know if it would be sturdy enough for daily use as the wood used is a little fragile.

This box was perfect for what I wanted it for. I needed a place to keep special cards/letters etc from important people in my life. This box is real wood and it is sturdy and beautiful in its simplicity. It looks so nice and I imagine it would look great almost anywhere in your house.

Mine unfortunately came with a small crack on the top just like some of the other reviews. Guess they need to change the quality of the lids and it would be a very nice box. It is also too hard to open and close. Need alot of force.

Let me preface this review by saying, this is a very nice sturdy wood box. The semi matte finish is very nice and smooth. I will definitely order again.Now here's the issue. I bought this box at 2 different occasions. On the very first purchase, I received the box with a small crack on top of the lid and I didn't think any of it. Now, the crack has widen. Since I'm past 30 days I'm not eligible for a replacement. My advice is to ask for a replacement right away even if it's a small crack.
