Very nice for a recreational play.
So I don't know anything about tournaments or actual pro badminton. All i do is smack thoose with my cousin on weekends for couple hours to break some sweat.I received couple of generic shuttlecocks with the set of rockets. They were horrible. First of all made all of plastic that deformed in shipping, second of all they were way to light to play with them outdoors.Victor Gold are made with real feathers which adds a lot to the aeorodynamics of it, and are heave enought to play with them outdoors on even with a little of wind.I can't tell you how durable they are in the real game, but what I can tell you is that mine are treated pretty harsh, often hit with the wrong part of rocket, they land in gravel or mudy grass and are even stolen and chewed by my Great Dane ... after all of that one shuttlecock is still enought for a few hours of play on weekend. That said and happy with the purchase, and because of the price/quality ratio those will be my first pick for future purchase.

Decent Birdies For a Decent Price
These are fairly decent birdies! I steamed them before I played with them yesterday, and they got about 1.5 games each before a feather would be broken or missing. Keep in mind they survived twenty-one point doubles games of constant smashing and blocking...but then again, I steamed them. They fly nice and are a heck of a lot cheaper than the birdies they sell at the local club. It is recommended that you steam the birdies 2-3 days before you play them and store them in a humid and cool environment like behind your bathroom door. Hope that helped!

1-2 per set.
These birds are OK. I go through about 1-2 of them per set. But obviously if you're not playing a serious game, you just continue with an old and battered shuttlecock. But for the price? Yonex Aerosena's go from $25-$50 and you'll go through about 1-2 shuttlecocks per set as well (we're talking about the new rules to 21 points, rather than the old rules to 15 points). I never tried humidifying the birds before playing with them, as some have suggested. But I do live in Miami and have left the shuttlecocks in my car and it doesn't seem to have changed. Overall, it's not bad considering the price you pay and Victor is a pretty well-known brand. I'm not disappointed, it is what I expect when playing with feathered shuttlecocks.

Worst shuttlecocks ever.
I have bought these shuttlecocks after reading the good reviews, but to my surprise they didn't last at all.I am an intermediate level player and when we play the feathers were coming off so quick that they didn't last even for one game....After the first game,i lost a min of 2-3 feathers on the shuttlecocks.I have played with even cheaper shuttlecocks and they lasted for more games than this ones.I would never buy these again...I would have gives a zero star if given an option..

Great value
We play whenever the weather permits and these birds have great flight and feel. They have been as durable as an feathered birds we've ever used. If you are a pro you probably already have a favorite brand, if not then I recommend these as a great value.

Good shuttles but were dry!
I have used these shuttles from Amazon earlier as well. I like them for indoor play and I have noticed a lot of other club players also use it. This time the shuttles were a little dry. But I must admit that I do not moist them regularly to keep them from drying. The low winter temperatures which required heaters did not help either. Overall, I am quite happy with these. The only better ones that I have played with, which last a little longer have been Yonex 30. But the Victor shuttles are more cost effective.
