Hot Tools Professional 800 Watt Ionic Soft Bonnet Hair Dryer, Black & White

I have curly with frizzy hair. It takes a while to blow dry & style, but sometimes I let it air dry to help reduce the risk of damage. I'm always fighting the dreaded frizz. As a young teen in the 1970s-1980, there weren't products to help reduce frizz as there is now. My mom would sit me under a bonnet hair dryer with curlers, which made a big difference in the manageability of my hair & absolutely way less frizz. I recently thought about those days after a particularly tough session of wrestling with my hair, trying to make it look nice for work. It was exhausting! Then I happened to remember the bonnet dryers of old. I bought this & some curlers. I've used it twice now, and have loved the results.I think that the dryer is pretty good. It performed as I remembered. I will say that it is loud. It's too bad that the technology hasn't advanced enough to improve this. The cord is long enough, but the hose could be a little longer. The bonnet also needs to be a little larger to accommodate the curlers. I was able to get the bonnet on over the curlers, but it wasn't easy. .The hose does frustratingly come apart from the machine probably twice during the 45 minutes I sit under the machine. You do have to be careful to make sure the hose "clicks" in to place. Finally, yes it does take a little longer to prep, curl, and dry my hair this way instead of with a blow dryer. I use that time catching up with work, writing a letter, or reading. Often it lulls me to sleep. But I am very happy with the results.

love it and works well except that the hood extension is too short

I've used this a few times to dry my hair. I love the convenience of just putting on the bonnet and being able to work on my computer at my desk. My hair does not get frizzy, but I don't know if that's because of the dryer or the fact it's winter and my hair doesn't frizz in the winter time. I tried watching a movie the first time I used this product, but I had to turn the tv up too loud. I ordered this product because the description said there is a 6-foot hose. This is a 3-foot hose (probably closer to 30 inches), which makes a huge difference in where I can put it while drying my hair. The hose isn't long enough to place the machine on the ground. I'm wondering who tested the product, and if it was tested by real women in real situations. If the dryer is on my glass-top work desk, it must be lying down because when the dryer is on and standing up, it moves across the desk from the force of its fan. So a little velcro or something on the bottom would be helpful. Because of where the hose and electric cord come out of the side, (hose on top and cord on the bottom) it can be difficult to get situated. The machine must be on your left side because it is not the 6-feet of hose as described. I lock the bonnet into the hose as other reviewers have said to do, but sooner or later, the hose gets very hot, and the pieces come apart. Then I have to wait a few minutes for it to cool off and reattach. So HOT TOOLS, if you're reading this, the longer hose as described, rubber feet on the bottom, and a stronger lock for the bonnet-hose connection would make this a really great product.

I absolutely love ❤️ this hair dryer. It dries my hair fast and it’s just like going to the Salon without the hassle. The controls are nice also. I read where some folks have trouble keeping the hose attached. Just make sure you feel and hear the click when you turn it. I was tired of waiting for the hair to dry so I decided to get this. I really didn’t think they made them anymore. I was a kid from the 60’s so with this, I got lucky. Also, it’s small and you could take it on trips. Less damage to the hair as opposed to curling irons and blow dryers. Go ahead and purchase this. You won’t be disappointed. ❤️👍🏻

The bonnet provided is small to put over rollers. It makes no sense.
