I am waiting for the Mavic to be available and this seemed like a good price for it
I purchased this item from the local hobby store. I am waiting for the Mavic to be available and this seemed like a good price for it. The setup was straightforward with installing the app on my iphone (Iphone7) and then linking/pairing to the breeze. The app does not explain well that you need an account setup to be able to check for firmware but one can figure that out. I charged the batteries and went outside. GPS detection was quick and it was ready to fly right away. I tried the selfie mode and it was effortlessly setup and executed. The system takes off without the user having to handle the controls which are on the iphone and hovers at about 3ft. I played with the settings to adjust max height and max distance and have to say the little drone did as expected. The picture quality and video despite it claiming being 4k is a bit different than what you would get from a phantom or gopro but the output is usable for social media upload and sharing. I dont think it would work for commercial work. Flying it indoors is a bit trickier but the software makes a good job of alerting the user when things are not optimal, for example, if the space is too bright or too dark, a message with an alarm will pop up on the screen alerting the user. Pretty cool. They just released a set of a controller and FPV/VR goggles for it. I may get that as well once Amazon carries it. In my opinion, it is a device that behaves and does as advertised. The $399 price tag seems appropriate for what it does albeit it could be a bit lower. It looks good, comes with a carrying box that works and two batteries. I have not drained a battery to inform on duration but they seem robust and with good capacity. I have been involved with drones since the days of the arducopter and multiwii DIY devices, I am just recently trying these commercially available semi-automated birds. I find that the breeze is a good beginners drone before someone sinks many $$$ on a drone to learn on. I hope this review helps someone.

The Breeze is a Breeze to fly
Just got my Yuneec breeze at the same time ordered a new Samsung J7 and the Newly released Yuneec FPV Full Controller with FPV Goggles, boy all of this went together perfect and it fly's like a dream, the controller is a huge plus. Goggles are not bad either. The newest firmware adds alot to the breeze functions now. Now Just if Yuneec will add the Reverse Key to be assigned to one of the controller buttons it would be perfect. Now some pointers, you always turn off the GPS while inside, even though I got 18 Sats while inside it still tended to drift. Be aware this is not made to fly inside in small areas, this is a fairly large drone and its a Pro drone, not a toy. Also not all modern smart devices will work with the breeze, I have an LG phone with 5.1 android and it would not see the Breeze Wifi, but my Samsung J7, saw it and binded easy. Flying with the phone which I hate, does take some time to get use to. When starting out till you understand how the Breeze handles I would turn all the settings to the lowest, then once you get the flying down, then start turning it up. For max. Distance and Height I would try to see what your phone Wifi can get you without loosing complete signal. Once you start to see drop offs or live video freeze, stop take note what distance and height your at back that off with another -10 feet and set that as your max. the breeze will go, it will help prevent a possible fly away. I find the breeze can handle strong wind also. Keep in mind while the 1080p 30fps has a 2 axis digital stabilization the 4k video has none. I also highly recommend the full Yuneec FPV Controller with goggles also, makes this package complete.
