This dress is quite quirky, and I love it! It's delightfully bold, while still being work-appropriate for most places.I am 5'9 and normally wear a US size 6 or 8 dress, depending on the brand. A size 8 fits me almost exactly like the model; I would say the seller's size chart is pretty accurate. If you are between sizes I would recommend sizing up. I am more of a pear shape, but I still felt like the skirt was appropriately cut/sized to accommodate both larger and smaller hips, although I would probably be a little cautious if you're more than two sizes larger on bottom than top.The skirt is about midi/tea length, and the sleeves are more bracelet length than anything. I found that my arms are a little too chubby to keep the sleeves buttoned only if I flail around too much (they'll stay closed, but the button pulls enough to cause a bit of concern), but there's still plenty of room for movement otherwise and in the rest of the sleeve. One thing that is really nice is there is both a hidden side zipper and functional buttons, so the top is fitted, but not so much that actually putting it on becomes a struggle. The bow tie is quite long, so you can be lovely and extravagant. I did not think the neck was too tight or choking in any way, even with the bow tied securely. The pleats are wonderfully sharp right out of the package; I am hoping they'll stay that way over time.The fabric is a nicer medium-weight polyester, and feels soft and flowy. I let it hang for a hit before I wore it, and that was enough to get most of the wrinkles out alone. It can be pretty staticky even with a silk slip, so be aware. The fabric pattern in the picture is pretty darn close to what I received, which was genuinely a pleasant surprise! There was definitely more tan in mine, so perhaps expect the same if you purchase it. I have not yet washed it, so I cannot say how it will fare. I plan to wash on cold delicate and keep out of the dryer, just to be safe.Overall, this dress was a definite win for me. I got a lot of compliments when I wore it, and felt absolutely fabulous the whole time.

I purchased the 3/4 sleeve solid green midi dress with a wide belt to wear to an evening wedding. The color surprisingly, was exactly as it appeared in the photo, a rich emerald green. The fabric also has a slight texture to it, this is not a flimsy poly, it is an elegant and timeless dress! I ordered a size 12. I am 5"9 160lb. I wish it were just a tad bigger in the waist, as there is no stretch in this dress. This would also look great in chiffon material, which, probably would feel cooler and lighter for the summer months. It is well made and for the price point, you can't beat it! One advantage of the material, I plan on wearing this in the cooler months with black suede boots or black pumps. I will be purchasing clothing from Lai Meng Five Cats again! Great customer service too, which is important to me.

I am 5'2", medium in tops but 12 on bottom. I have been eyeing this dress and had it on my wishlist for several years. I finally gave up on someone gifting it to me and bought it for myself, hahaha! I am so disappointed. The sleeves go to my fingertips, but not in a cute sweatery way. The bodice meets the skirt two inches below my natural waistline, so it is not flattering for my figure at all! I am used to dresses not hitting at the length they do on models because I am vertically challenged, but this one almost makes it to my ankle. I am so, so sad this is going back. :'( In a different season of my life I would alter it, but I lack that kind of time right now since it would need fully disassembling it to fix this mess. The waist bunches weirdly at the back because the bodice is very long and it needs darts to prevent chest bunching, too. This is a sad day.

I purchased the “Floral & Red” color. For reference I am 5’3” and 140lbs with a moderately curvy shape. I ordered a size 10 and it fits very nicely. The sleeves are not too long nor is the length of the dress.This dress is so beautiful and feminine, and appropriate for many occasions. The pleating is such a lovely touch. I like that the front has buttons so you can adjust the openness according to your liking. It can be very modest if you are more comfortable being covered but still want to look very pretty. The only thing is the neck ties are SUPER long, they are actually longer than the dress. But this is not a big deal.It’s very well made, no loose threads, the seems are nicely sewn and nothing about the cut feels off.I really love this dress and I’m so glad I found this brand, I see a few other dresses and blouses I want to add to my wardrobe.

The sizing was perfect per the descriptions and it fit me exactly. This dress looks SO MUCH MORE expensive than it is. I wore it to my husband's botox & fillers party, and it was literally NON STOP COMPLIMENTS on the dress. It is NOT see through and no slip is required. The patterns match up perfectly at every seem (the signs of a good, tailored dress). Many people mistook it for a major fashion brand starting with "G".It took me a bit to get it perfectly ironed, mostly because the pleats and since I don't iron often, but not bad at all. It did not wrinkle as I sat down and got up. You will have zero regrets getting this dress.For me and my size, I literally got it the next day I bought it! Couldn't be happier with this purchase. I think I'm going to snag another pattern, too.If it's helpful, I'm 5'2 and usually wear a size 12 and bought that same size, as pictured.

I loved the unique design of the material. For me, too small in chest, too bulky on skirt. Not a good line for the short waisted. Would be great on a tall, slim figure, & could use a minimal crinoline under skirt to give the vintage flare…that is not apparent without one. Nicely made. Material not wise for a warm day, as not breathable fabric. The sleeves were a little long, but still looked cute when slightly rolled up. At 5’ 4”, from top to bottom, it fit me like I was two, separate people. Might fit more people as a two piece combo to be sized as mixed & matched?
