A birthday book enjoyed
I had read a preview of this book in our local paper as I live in the same city as the illustrator of this book and was aware of the tragic accident at the Habitat for Humanity project that put her in a wheel chair. I ordered the book right away for my granddaughter's 5th birthday, and had it sent to where we were having a family holiday vacation. Fortunately, the book arrived there ahead of time so I was able to gift-wrap the book and take it to the lake where we celebrated her birthday. (I appreciated the good service!) I read the story to my granddaughter and her almost-3-year-old sister, and both enjoyed it. Their mother is an architect-artist who had illustrated a children's book I had written so she was interested in this book too. It's a nice story about a boy and his dog, and aksi offers opportunities for helping children empathize with others who are differently-abled.

Happy purchase
This book brings joy and promotes diversity, awareness, and acceptance in a natural way. As a mom of two children earth side, age 8.5 years old and 4 years old - both children enjoyed the time we spent reading “Best Day Ever” aloud together. Every page is filled with thought and intention - both in words and picture. We had fun looking around the pages for little Easter Eggs hidden by Leah that showcase Tiny and Snail. The story is really cute written from the perspective of the dog. And as a parent, I have found myself reflecting on my interactions with my children (and our two dogs too). It’s not just for parents though, this book will find a place for anyone looking to extend empathy, compassion, diversity, and acceptance - added bonus if you are a fan of dogs too!

BEAUTIFUL COVER and artwork and story!
There is nothing I dislike about this book!I LOVE IT!The story is so cute and is perfect for all kids to learn about diversity . My great-granddaughter has to use a wheelchair sometimes and I gifted this book to her. Then I purchased a 2nd copy for at my home to read to the other kids when they are here!! Who doesn't love a story about a child and their pup?!The pictures are illustrated so well and Leah captured the dogs movements and expressions like the sad doggie face when they know they are in trouble...Read the story of the illustrator and you will know why she put her heart and soul into illustrating this childrens book!the cover is so beautiful I hate to put the paper protector back on it!! Delightful Children’s Book
This children’s book is not only a delight to look at but it is also fun to read. Listening to my husband read it to our son die the first time I couldn’t help but smile. It’s really a wonderful little story. As a person who has spent time in a wheelchair as both a child and an adult I was thrilled to see that the little boy in the story is in a wheelchair and it’s never even mentioned as a thing, it’s just how he is, no need to explain. I know what I’ll be giving as a baby shower gift!

LOVE this book
I bought three copies of this book for friends with children and I love it so much I'm keeping a copy for myself and ordering another copy. The illustrations are amazing and the colors and pictures are so vibrant and life like they jump off the page. This is my new go-to book when purchasing children's books and gifts. Thank you for creating this gorgeous book with a beautiful story!

Made for exuberant reading! Beautifully Illustrated!
I love this book! I listened to an interview by author and illustrator that included a reading by the author. This book was made to be expressively read aloud and the illustrations lend themselves to so many conversations. Knowing the stories behind many of those pages only added to the appeal. I highly recommend this book for all parents and grandparents of young children!
