Absolutely Delightful!
I've read 60 books in the past three months, a mixture of fiction, non-fiction and 3 books of poetry. I had started three books in series that I love and had been waiting for them to be released, and for some reason not a single one of them was holding my interest. Then this book popped up as a recommendation, I saw that it was a young adult book, but even in my 50's, I find I can enjoy any genre if the story is good. I read the sample first and was transported to my youth and reminded of a book I loved as a child, called The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin and I was hooked!I read this in one day, in which I dreamed big, and puzzled hard! Every moment of this was delightful to me. I loved the characters, the plot, the feelings of simple joy it brought me as each mystery unfolded into the next one and the writing kept me absolutely engaged. I would not change a single thing. But right now I need to go, because I need to buy the next book in the series, to get lost in the riddles and mysteries of the Hawthorne family and Every is connections to them all.Read this book, young or old, you won't be disappointed. And I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Fast Paced Mystery with Romance, Thrill and Lots of Riddles
Overall I really enjoyed this book, almost couldn’t put it down! It took me a little while to get past the insanity of the basic plot but once I delved into the world I loved it! Lots of twists and turns, always keeping you guessing. I guessed about half of the ending by about halfway through but I really enjoyed how it tied together towards the end. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series and seeing where the riddles, clues and hints take the cast of characters!

Four stars
The beginning half of the book was a little boring, but around page 250, the pace picked up and I couldn't put it down. The plot was engaging, the mystery, or the "big question" like an itch you can't scratch. I liked all the characters, the scene was nicely set and there was just enough tension to keep you guessing. The dialogue was a little lacking, especially from the main character; she repeated things a lot and often sounded like a parrot. It just didn't match with someone who was supposed to be very intelligent. All in all, a great YA novel and would recommend it!

It was ok but not great.
First, the story is great!! I love the characters and will read the sequels to see what happens but with that said….It’s rushed. It’s also really predictable. There is so much ability to create a world for a reader to get lost in and it’s just not there. I realize it is meant for a YA audience and while the concept is definitely YA, the writing is not. It’s for a much more juvenile audience from the mechanics of the story structure. This book should have been two with the first one setting up the world and life style. It reminds me of some telling an elaborate story but then only getting the cliff notes version. Or better yet this reads like it’s the readers digest version of a better book.I wish you could have had the big conclusion at the end but could have drawn out the initial hunt so not so much was revealed if one wanted to keep it at the particular length. Or add 200 pages and flesh it out better. While it’s just under 400 pages, the writing is large so in a standard paperback it would be a lot thinner of a book. It definitely doesn’t read like a best selling author. But to end on a high note- the story pulls you in, you just want more of it. Now off to read book two.

loved inheritance games
Fast moving, out of the normal realm, with well differentiated characters that are curious and entertaining; what more could you want from a book! Oh, and the billions at stake! When is the next one?

worth it
I enjoyed this book because it was well plotted, well written, and had likable characters. The language, the actions, the psychology of the characters fit the story. I read this through kindle Unltd and now know I’m comfortable buying a copy. It’s a recommend.
