Visibility
I bought a blue version of this little light. It’s easy to use and works well, my scuba buddies said they could see me well but it didn’t distract them or ruin their night vision. I have it attached to my hoses on regulator so it’s easy to remember to turn on or off when I change tanks. Great product and a very good price!!

Increases diver visibility and safety
The media could not be loaded. Great product! Increases diver visibility and safety tremendously. Purchased blue for myself and green for husband so we can always find each other under water. Would def recommend for any diver working in low visibility. Product shipped quickly and worked as described.

Perfect for what it is designed for
As it says in the title... this is a beacon for scuba diving. It is easy to see on top of the water and below. If it was bright, it would light up everything around you and be very annoying. That is why tank lights are usually dim.

Excellent Marker Light
These are great little lights. I'm not using for any diving application but instead as locating lights on my dogs' harnesses. I had purchased Nite Ize SpotLit collar lights originally and they worked fine for my older dogs, but my new pups were rough housing in a wet field and after that their lights quit working right. These Orcatorch SD01s are much nicer lights than the SpotLits. AAA instead of a coin cell, double o-rings instead of snapping together, and much stronger construction overall. I have them mounted to the handle of my pups' ICEFANG GN8 harnesses and though they mostly face rearwards, I'm able to see the lights from the front well enough.I have the green, blue, red, and orange lights. The green is the brightest, followed very closely by the blue, the red is bright enough, and the orange is the dimmest. The orange light is fine, really, it is just noticeably dimmer than the other lights.

Nice Mini Beacon Diving Light
The media could not be loaded. This beacon light came with a nice soft pack with additional O-rings and an AAA batteries. The soft pack with cushion will be very useful to prevent it from disappearing or being damaged when not using it.There is no switch or button to push. Simply screw the cap to the end to turn the light on. Once night dive is over, you either take the battery out, or unscrew it. It is a good habit to screw it tight when it is attached to the tank. If you don't want to use it just remove it from the tank. It seems that one AAA battery can last for a while, so I won't worry about turning it off between dives. The shell of the light is very high quality, seeming unbreakable under ordinary operations. I don't have a chance to take it for night dives yet, but it is super bright in the water without light. I took it on a day dive, and it is still bright enough to be seen. See the photo and video attached. I like this beacon light, a must have for night or dusk dives.

Don't expect to float
Don't know why, but i thought these would float. They didn't, which is fine, but it changes where you should attach them. We hooked them on our cylinders, up by the valve, thinking they'd be out of the diver's way, easy for three group to see and dropped into our twilight dive. By the time it was dark enough to notice, they were hiding enough in the hoses and hair to be hard to see. They don't put off a ton of light, which is good for not screwing up light on night dives, but they should be placed somewhere easier to see

Nice light for the water, but very dim
I have really been looking hard to find a waterproof light that can handle submersion and the battery will last awhile. This does both of those things extremely well. The only unfortunate aspect is that it is pretty dim. I'm not sure how well it would work underwater because of that, which it is intended for, but above water it is subpar in terms of brightness, but I'll still use it for visibility, not for helping you to see.

Very dim and impossible to operate with gloves
Let me start with the Pro's: The light is very compact and very sturdy with its thick wall aluminum body. Ove of them even survived washer and dryer. It came out super hot but no water break in and it still worked. But that's unfortunately where the good stuff ends. I bought 2 orange beacons one for my tank and one to mark my anchor. The lights are barely visible under water, even at night. The light is negatively buoyant and dings against the tank which is very annoying. For the price, there are much better lights out there. I would look at Princeton Tech instead. They are cheaper, much brighter and buoyant.
