It's become hard to find a good replacement battery for the Dell XPS 15 9560 where OEM batteries seems to have past its shelf life and aftermarket batteries cannot be trusted. I have ordered 3 new replacement batteries for my laptop. Another aftermarket one isn't even recognized while plugged in, while the OEM one is recognized but would shut down automatically in Windows. This one works. Came at the full 97Wh capacity when I run the windows battery diagnostics, and I'm able to boot my laptop and it will stay on with great battery life. I'm happy with this battery and I hope I will not need another replacement battery for a long time.1 year update (8/5/2022): For some reason, the battery capacity has been starting to drop significantly the past few days. I have been on adapter power, limiting charge to 80% for a while, but recently started using it on battery again. Seems like the capacity has been decreasing and batteryreport is finally adjusting the estimate because I started running off battery again.

Needed a replacement because battery worn out after 4 years; only held charge for 15-20 min and was starting to swell. Tried another more expensive brand, and it was defective (could not hold a charge). Next tried this one, and it works great. Battery life 3-7 hr or more depending on whether high or low energy usage. Installation was a breeze, although used my tools. Be sure to use a T5 and a Phillip that fits the other screws.

I had to replace the original due to the swelling and subsequent loss of functionality in the touchpad. This battery replaced that old one easily.HOWEVER, I’ve followed the manual on calibrating the battery about a dozen times, but my laptop still senses a low charge inconsistently. Much better than my laptop shutting off when unplugged, but not functioning at factory level.We’ll see if my laptop properly calibrated with regular usage over a few dozen cycles.Anyways I would recommend this battery to anyone who had to remove their now broken factory one.

I bought one of these to replace the aging battery in my Precision 5520 laptop. After I first installed it, I performed the ifixit recommended battery calibration by charging it to 100% and then using it until it dies and then charging it to full again. After running this cycle, the Windows battery report was showing 10% battery wear after less than one battery cycle and only a few hours of actual use.I continue to use the battery like normal. It held a charge, just not for long. After about two weeks, it was showing 30% battery degradation. So I paid for 97 kWh battery and after only two weeks I had a 68 kWh battery. I assumed it was a bad battery cell or something of the sort. I requested a replacement through Amazon and after installing my second battery, it was effectively the same issue! The degradation wasn't quite as drastic, only 20% wear after a week.I reached out to the seller originally and their response was essentially a non-answer. They claimed as long as the battery lasts an hour or two that it is working as designed. That's definitely not a "new" replacement then as my laptop would easily last 8+ hours on a charge when I originally purchased it. I've since bought a battery from a different seller and it works perfectly and as intended. 0% wear and 10+ hours of estimated life in Windows.Do not buy from this seller.

Installation was easy. Battery life is not as long (hrs) as expected. It may have to do with my laptop, but having to charge more than I think I should. Again, could be other factors.

Exactly 1 year since I bought the battery and as if on cue, it suddenly won't take a charge. When it was charging, it would last only 2 hours. Not 4+ like original battery. Don't be fooled by the cheap price. You're getting what you pay for. If you want a REAL fix, better buy from a better seller.

The battery arrived on time and as described. After the installation, the battery was already at 100%. I let it run for 5 hours without launching any apps. It still had 47% remaining. I then ran a few apps for a few hours and still have battery life for a while. I plugged the charger in and saw that the battery was charging. This was a great inexpensive purchase. Thank you!!

My laptop when new would get around 4 to 6 hours on the battery and recently has been getting around 1 to 2 hours. Nothing on the laptop is running abnormal. This "new" battery gets about the same or slightly less runtime as my old battery I removed (a little over an hour). Might be too early to tell but seems like an inferior battery and will need to look elsewhere to get something that lasts. Giving it a few more cycles then I'll make a decision. Update: After a few charge cycles it has improved and I do now get around 3 hours on a charge. Better so updating my stars.
