Highly recommended to motivate kids
My son received this for his 6th birthday and just loves it. He is always checking his steps and activity. He and his sister are very competitive, so they are always trying to outdo each other, which is a win win. LOL. My favorite part of this device is the motivation to do chores and earn coins to redeem for (parents choice). I actually heard my children fighting over who would clean up the playroom to earn a coin. My husband and I were dying of laughter. I can monitor how they slept at night if they wear it to bed (they never take it off). It's water proof also. The band is a little big for my 6 and 7 year old but they just wear it a bit higher up on their arm. No biggie. Room to grow. High quality. My son did scratch the face of the device pretty quickly. I'm regretting not buying the protector. Overall, amazing gift for my kids. They love it, I love it. I hope the motivations continue!

Good but not for the price. For SMALL children.
This is our second garmin kids watch. My 6 year old loves them. The battery on the first lasted almost 2 years! He never took it off. Wore it for baths and swimming. Great quality. And it fit his tiny little wrist perfectly.Down side - He is a very small 5/6 year old. Only 33 pounds. His wrist is very tiny, and the watch fits well without falling off. I think it could be tight on average size kids though. The mobile app isn’t super great. I’ve had several issues with it not loading and syncing.

Great watch!
I bought this for my tween daughter for Christmas. The features are a little young for her age, but she still likes it! She’s able to set an alarm, keep track of activity and sleep, the time and date...The app is nice too, but definitely better for younger kids. When you reach your activity goals you earn moves in a game.Oh, you can also set a chores list, which is great but the kids have to go on the app to check them off.The band is very stretchy but if it’s too tight there are many options for replacement bands. The battery lasted for 8 months before we had to replace it (1632 watch battery). She lost it at camp over the summer—I was able to call Garmin to have it flagged as lost/stolen. It does not have GPS so they couldn’t track it, but they said if someone ever tried to register or sync it they wouldn’t be able to. It was found about a month later—faded band and dead battery but still works!

Great Concept Kids Fitness Tracker - Band Size is an Issue
Great first exercise tracker for the kids, and at some point, we'll set up the "points" system for them both, as they are at an age to appreciate rewards, etc. Ran into a hiccup setting up the account for both boys, as it was difficult to pair BOTH Vivofit Jrs. on the account. But eventually figured it out (set-up one band at a time, don't have both bands powered up at the same time for pairing). When I had both bands on and in front of me for set-up, I could set-up one band, but there seemed to be some confusion within the app trying to find the 2nd band to pair. So, I powered down the 2nd band, then powered it back up and it paired fine after that. I am NOT a tech genius, so originally thought something was faulty with the 2nd band, until that last attempt. My boys like these trackers a lot, but I will say that my almost 8yr old will move to the next level up in fitness trackers by the time he's 9 or so. He's eager for more fitness type information that is not necessarily available, nor needed, for younger children. It all depends on their activity level/needs, and my 7yr old is super active in sports, etc., so is becoming more aware of health at a younger age.My only other complaint is the band. Red & Green band designs are cool for my 5 & 7yr old boys, but too tight for my 7yr old and almost too tight for my 5yr old. They are both regular size - not skinny nor husky. The band fits over the 7yr olds wrist, but left indents after having it on the day, and he commented that it was too tight. On the 5 yr old, it is tight, but not cutting into him or cutting off circulation, but he's not necessarily comfortable with the tightness of it either. Based on reviews here, I also bought at the same time Vivofit 3 replacement bands, which fit the Vivofit Jr. My 7yr old likes the new band as it is looser, and we'll transition my 5 yr old soon. Hopefully in the future, there will be 1pc stretch bands available in a larger size, with the same cool designs!!

Great gift for any girl ages 6-10
My 8 year old loves to know the time. So a watch was already wanted. With this watch, there is so much more. She keeps track of steps and her activity minutes. When we see another kid on the playground with one, they start to compare their steps and minutes for the day!We are just now starting to put chores on her app, and her watch shows how many she has done and has left to do. When she does the chores, she gets tokens, which enable her to get things in the app. We are just starting this feature though. On a vacation with lots of walking, we walked about 10 miles one day. Here is a picture of her steps the watch counted... 23,560. I only gave the watch a 3/5 on accuracy, because it will count a variety of movements as steps, when they aren't. If a kid sits and bounces their arm, it will count! So it's not perfect. But if they are truly out walking and playing, it is accurate. Her steps were always more than mine for the day on vacation, but then she takes more steps to go the same distance. It seemed to be proportional each day.The timer is fun. You can set it for 2 minutes of brushing, or five minutes to finish a task, 30 more minutes of swimming, etc. It will notify your parent phone app when a timer has been set. It's just a fun way to be involved with what they are doing and thinking. I like this as a gift because it's not a junky toy that ends up on the floor. It has a better purpose and use and accomplishes both. It encourages responsibility and self reliance. No more asking how long until something happens. Possibly better chore compliance. We'll see how that part goes.

Great for kids
Bought this 1.5 years ago for our then 5 year old granddaughter. She rarely takes it off and loves it. Only down side is the pattern on the strap has faded (to be expected after 500 days of wear) and I can not find a replacement strap.
