unclogged a kitchen sink backup.the product works as intended, much better than the standard old fashion snakeswhere you have to keep manually turning the knob to lock and unlock the snake as you feed it inwhich is a real pain.it's a good design, simple to use.the grip bar easily locks the snake when cranking in either direction to push the snake in orto retrieve it. so you don't keep stopping to feed in more wire then locking and unlocking.if you want to hand feed/retrieve it, just don't press the bar.the end of the snake is secured so it doesn't come out.very satisfied!that said i have not used this product with a power drill.drains, esp. old pipes are fragile and I always unclog using hand crank only.i measured the snake length, which is advertised at 15.x feet. well it measures 17 feet!

Will save you a plumber cost if you know what you’re doing.
Had to extend and retract a few times but it did what it’s supposed to do unclogged 2inch sewer line about 3-4 ft in. Saved me a couple hundred on calling plumber.

Super effective!
For years I've fought with a traditional auger which you have to lock, manually push through while cranking, unlock, feed out six inches, and repeat. The self-feed grip on this auger is amazing! I more effectively cleared a drain in 30 minutes with this auger than I did fighting the other style for 3 hours! While my wife's long hair may be the bane of shower drains, this auger means I don't have to drop a ridiculous amount of money on a plumber for clogged drain anymore!
