Hurricane Components Fat Boy Fork Up 135mm Adaptor Non-Offset

Overall, the products is good. Good build quality. I have a couple of minor issues with it. First, I wish the skewer had a lock. I use this on my Yakima truck rail mount (which has a lock), but with the Fork Up, I can no longer lock the bike forks in. Second, when a bike is not locked into the unit, the skewer bolt rattles like crazy and thus, I need to remove the unit when I'm not hauling the bike. Overall, though, it holds my fat bike very well and does the job.

Works Great for my Specialized FatBoy I just purchased. Easy to use and I feel confident when in back of pick up. Price was a little high,but worth it to protect the bike while transporting! Would of been a 5, if the price was a little less!

This is just the thing to put my Specialized Fat Boy onto the roof, using a standard Yakima fork mount tray. I just secure the rear wheel to the tray with a nylon strap. It's secure at highway speeds. This locks to the Yakima, but I need to use a cable lock to secure the bike to the rack bars.

I'll complain about the price first. This is an expensive item, however, there are no alternatives. Also, the fact is that I could not weld this together, powder-coat it, and purchase the caps and skewer for much less if I were to build it myself (and I'd burn a Saturday afternoon doing it). Anyway, these guys had a great idea and they are charging for it.Price aside, this is very high quality and is a case of "you get what you pay for". I got it for my Salsa Mukluk and Thule roof rack. It fits everything perfectly. I do wish they put a better skewer on it, something that I could get a padlock through, but what it came with is definitely acceptable.Until Thule and other roof rack manufacturers get enough demand from Fat Bike owners to build a dedicated rail and clamp, then we'll have to go with custom stuff like this. No major complaints though, this component does exactly what I needed it to do.

This works perfectly, but it’s stupidly over-priced, rotates from a vertical position (just lean it forward) and doesn’t LOCK. This mount works well to adapt my Thule roof mount to my extra wide front forks. It gets the job done, but the skewer has a tendency to rust slightly and the tapered nut seems to be designed specifically to prevent a good grip, i.e., it's tapered and smooth. It's especially hard to hold this nut in place with gloved hands while loosening the other side when the threads are slightly rusted.
