For under £500 (just) I consider this to be great value. I too was sceptical about it being Huawei, but it's really only a tin box where the MS Operating system dictates what it can and can't do. It took me a few minutes to find the pop-up camera mounted in the middle of the Function key row, and am disappointed that it can't be adjusted up or down so it usually points at anywhere but your face. However, I don't intend to use that very often so it's not going to spoil my opinion of the laptop. I'd also read a few reports where people reckoned they'd received what should have been a 512Gb SSD and it was only 256. This is definitely 512, but is partitioned to a C and D. I'm not sure why, but that suits me fine as I really want it for backing up the SD cards from my cameras when I'm out and about, so the D drive for the backups will work a treat The screen is very good. It's got a very fast processor meaning the device starts up and shuts down very quickly, and is very light in weight. The mains adaptor is superb, instead of a great big heavy brick, this has what looks like a slightly larger than normal phone adaptor, and it appears to work fine. My work laptop probably cost twice as much as this D15, and it definitely isn't twice as good. I rate it.

If this wasn't bought discounted, I would have probably said it's not worth it, given its full price is £750. However, I think it's a good purchase if it's on sale. I've seen reviewers complaining about no camera, but that's not a secret in the laptop's specs so a little research could mitigate the surprise. Other than that, the laptop is fast, manages different demands really well (I've been surfing on different web pages, installing and even streaming, simultaneously) with no issues. The battery is poor given how much the laptop is worth at full price, but would still be good for day-to-day use, including uni work. I went from 100% to 38% in about six hours but used it consistently.It has a sleek design and it is very thin and light, so very portable. The fingerprint power button feature presents no issues, so far. Performance has been very satisfactory and I think it would hold well even with some video games.

I already own another laptop so this one was purchased as complimentary.Nice machine so far. However it arrived without a camera. I was shocked. I had assumed that all laptops, especially in this price range had inbuilt cameras.But I am not going to return it since my other devices all have cameras anyways.Screen resolution is satisfactoryVery adequate for the specific project for which it was purchased

A very good all-round computer. If you want a compromise between great speed and value for money, this is it. The PC is well-built and when Windows 11 is available in your location, it will run on this machine. (I am currently waiting for the download in Italy.)So no need to spend the extra on the I 7 versions, unless minutes are critical to you.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. I was surprised how much faster this laptop is than my old one (also sporting an ssd drive). The price was great and the fingerprint sensor works perfectly well. It boots up so fast that I had to restart 3 times to enter bios as I was already late after 1 second. In 2-3 seconds windows is up and running.

This is my 1st experience with HUAWEI MateBook. Two main issues for me that ruined my purchase. First, battery life is very low compared to competitors and the 2nd one is the camera that is projecting from below. These 2 features really made this laptop does not worth paying almost 700 EUR to buy it. When I decided to return it, the windows of return is already closed.

No camera but build in net meeting and Skype lol wich idiot forgot to put the camera in otherwise its a nice laptop 😄

It works very well and super quick.The fingerprint scanner is very convenient and saves a lot of time.Got updated to Windows 11 after a couple of weeks.Screen is good and the camera is ok.The laptop is very handy and is much lighter than I thought.
