Works as intended but could improve the design
Frankly, I was amazed this actually worked for pulling (most) of the time. If there was a high value distraction she still pulled and was out of control, but otherwise she was walking like a trained dog that she is, but who also has a high prey drive and impulse control problems that was making simple short walks a nightmare. The only problem with it is that there is no 'stopper', so when she was walking perfectly the leash would relax to the sidewalk and she kept walking over it so we'd have to stop and fix it which was a huge pain in the butt so I gave it one star less. For now I will continue to use it and try some home remedies for a stop button, like a rubber band or something. If that doesn't work I will send it back and look for alternatives that are completely hassle free.

Leash to Harness
I have a growing puppy and so far, canโt find a harness that works for her.I looked at this one for awhile and while sheโs probably an XS, I saw Amazon had a small in the used category for $9.95 and thought what the heck Iโll buy it.It arrived quickly and it looks brand new. Iโm assuming it was a return and my first used purchase on Amazon. So yes I got the $30.00 leash for less than $10.00 and it works pretty well! Itโs going to take her a minute to fully grow into it. But it will work nicely even once sheโs full grown. So seeing this in person, itโs worth the $30.00 listed in my opinion and have recommended my neighbor purchase one for her pup.

Doesn't stop all pulling
I have a Brittany that pulls like a sled dog. This helps reduce the amount of pulling, but he still pulls. Far better than the front clasp harnesses in our case- those did not work at all. I love that I can pop this on in a second and it's a nice high quality item. My one and only concern is how it attaches to the collar, and I do wonder if it's tightening on the collar and pulls on his throat when he's trying to tug me down the street. Just something to look out for.

Depends your dog
So this leash is amazing for my one dog who has leash training that she forgets sometimes. She figured it out within seconds. For my other dog who loves to pull and knows no other way of walking, this only sort of helps. She is much more manageable with the leash, but she will still pull despite it digging into her. Of course I don't want it to hurt her, so I made sure it didn't cut too tight. But after a little while she was coughing and I can only imagine it was from the pressure on her ribs. So I would say 5 out of 10 for complete control over a dog that doesnt have leash training and pulls regardless of the pain theyre inflicting on themselves. But 10 out of 10 if used on a dog that has basic leash training and is receptive of the discomfort the leash causes when pulled lol

Not for my dog
Recommended to me by a friend, my dog was unphased. She continued to drag/pull whoever was walking her all over the place. We moved on to the gentle leader which worked wonders for us. Good luck if you try, but I have a dog that when she picks up a scent, she "must" track it at all costs!

For use with light pulling dogs
9 month old mixed breed 62 lb puppy. Very strong puller when excited about seeing people and other dogs. This didnโt help with his pulling at all. Only use it has for him is that the straps slide behind his front legs and keeps him from pulling out of his collar.

Helping my Great Pyrenees learn better leash manners!
I have an eleven month old, 70 lb. Great Pyrenees and was struggling with her pulling on her leash out of excitement during walks. This leash was a gamechanger. She's starting to learn some leash manners, has stopped pulling my arm almost out of the socket, and I'm able to let the leash out when she is behaving. I was initially concerned this leash may hurt her, but there is a safety to prevent the leash from squeezing too tightly. Very durable, cushion on the handle to prevent any harm to your hands, and a great length when both let out and at the no pull length.

The best leash!
This is my second thunder leash. My previous dog was about 50lbs and a hard puller. I had initially used a prong collar with her, but I always hated it. Once we got this leash she could walk with me no problem! She would pull, yes, but it was manageable and not painful for either of us. Now I have a tiny maltese puppy that isn't too fond of walking on a leash yet. She will lay down and resist, and if in a harness she will find a way to wiggle out. With this leash she can't wiggle out and I can gently pull her to come along. Best training tool ever! Worth the money!

less pulling
Defenitely less pulling with this leash. I have an American Staffordshire terrier mix 40 lbs but strong as can be (my 195lbs Great Dane is easier to walk than her lol) I was using a quality harness but found it hot for the summer. I'll keep the harness for hiking and use the thunderleash for our regular adventures.

Our dog still pulls, but it's much easier to handle him.
Works well on our 70lb Golden Retriever. He still pulls, but it's much easier to handle him and it doesn't choke him.
