The bow itself is molded and shaped by hand with expert care from a synthetic compound material that is far more durable than wood. The hand painted finish on the bow, mimics the grain and character you would expect in a handmade wooden bow. Along the length of the bow are the hand painted red and black Viking Norse runes for "Elven Warbow". At the top of the bow, is the crowning artistic design of the "Blood Tree" knot. Garbage for a real archer
Well initially I loved this bow. Then I really got into traditional archery. Shooting at 25 yards, man size target, daily. That's when the bow warped to my draw side (left). So I compensated by flipping it over. Literally one day and two shooting sessions after this change, I was shooting. And they bow broke to in half. Whilst I was full draw. The top half smacked the hell outta my head, and I could scarecly comprehend what happened for a few seconds. Long and short, if you want a reliable and accurate 45# + bow, this one isn't for you. I learned this the hard way. I'm just glad I wasn't hunting hogs when this catastrophic failure went down.
