This tiny little tin box with shimmery metallic colors is a delight. Do check the ingredients they conta8n organic honey. It doesn’t take much to make an impact. They go on to the page smoothly and aren’t transparent. They put down color that has a beautiful sheen. They are not as metallic looking as a mica watercolor. Most CSY colors are pretty, some are fairly subtle, but all are just plain lovely. I own a bunch of their tin boxes, and have tried all the colors in them.I am new to watercolor and use them in mixed media pieces. I will note it is hard to photograph the sheen effectively. They show best in a close up, detail area, photo.

I can't remember having more fun with water coloring. These small containers are perfect and there is plenty of paint. I ordered more colors.

Well first they arrived way ahead of time. I'm very pleased with these watercolors and their shimmery goodness. I have several tins and I have no complaints.

These are special iridescent paints that lend that magical hint of color to your painting. Lovely is the word that comes to mind. You can throw them in a bag as they are tiny, but good things come in small packages. Absolutely wonderful.

Great little tin of vibrant watercolors. It was actually larger than I expected and the paints are each in their own little plastic squares so you can avoid a messy palette. The squares are fairly deep too, so you do get a fair bit of paint.

I purchased several of theses metallic Mini Tin boxes. The photo may be of the other color tin however they all do one thing very badly….. they will smear when dry if you touch them or if they are rubbed say with another paper, your fingers or whatever! While they are a lot cheaper than Paul Rueben’s those paints do not smear pigment all around when the paint is dry. They are slow to re wet to “creamy” which is optimal painting consistency for my work. They are also made in China. If you’re in love with metallics and they have a place in your artwork than I would avoid these in anything but a sketchbook. ClaudiaSJI
