No more cheap fans from China.
I've been buying the low cost ($35-$65) cheap fans made in China for my 8.1L Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 which I converted to two 16" fans many years ago. Those fans say they pull 3000 CFM, but few did. They last only about two years at best and most of the time failed much sooner. Because they don't pull the air that they are advertised to, I've constantly run into problems with over heating that Chevy big block while running the A/C in Dallas, TX summer heat. If that wasn't bad enough, it prevented me from pulling my 6,000Lbs travel trailer in such heat. It was just not enough air flow through the radiator, even with both cheap China fans mounted on a custom built shroud. Even when I rebuilt the shroud to be larger and to hold the fans further away from the radiator to make a larger air draw area, I only saw a light improvement. I broke down and purchased two Flex-a-Lite fans, 3000 CFM, 16" and mounted them in my newly custom built shroud. I wasn't sold on the wavy fan design being quieter or pulling 20% more air - but they work! I drove my truck to/from work over the last week (I have a commuter car I usually drive), and in 95 degree afternoon heat, with the A/C on medium blower, the truck never saw 170 degrees! I have a 160 degree thermostat in it. Plus, that jabber about these fans being quieter than straight blade fans - it's true! If my windows are up, I can't hear them. With windows down, I can hear them but barely. With the old cheap fans, I could hear the whining sound with the windows up. The only thing left to see is if these fans slow down rotation like the cheap fans did over time, and will they last more than a year or two. I did notice that all the China cheap fans had identical motors on them, but not these. The motors on the Flex-a-Lite are a very different design than those on the cheap fans. I hope this means they will last a long time.

So far not so good :(
I haven’t installed the fan just yet, i simply turned my truck on and connected it to positive and negative. But so far the MOST I get is 1700CFM reading, not 3000CFM and this is at FREE AIR with 14.4 Volts since my truck is on, I used this same anemometer to test the 16” eBay fans I have that are on the radiator and the get 1500.I’m hoping I am doing something wrong. This is for the puller fan 238 I did red to red and black to black.Because if they aren’t pulling any more air than my eBay fans that were only 60 bucks I’m returning these that are over 2 times the price for false advertisement. That being said that’s my tests as of right now, I will test them more this weekend and update my review.I habt high expectations since it’s a reputable company and I really hope this fan works better than my eBay fan that pulls the same numbers.

WHY IS IT ASKING ME TO RATE THE WARMTH AND STRETCH??? DEAR GOD SAVE US!
I put this thing on a 5.8L SBC, Vortech heads, mild cam. TH350, Jeep 4:10 gears. Its a torque monster that ran hot. Long story short, the China fan from Ebay didn't do the job, this thing did. It sounds like a GD helicopter, but thats great, helicopters are cool. Now, my engine is too.Merica

Got a lemon I think.
Installed on my '66 Mustang with a '70s 302 stock motor. When it worked it worked OK -- not mind blowing, but enough to keep the motor under 195. Despite marketing stating it's considerably quieter than most electric fans, I still think it's high pitch drone is noisy. The motor casing began to look rough (bubbled) after a few months. Car has never seen rain and is garage kept, so the damage is self inflicted. Still works, but it is ugly (see photo). I'm returning and I’m going back to a belt driven fan and a good shroud.

Not what they advertised
The fan was advertised at 3 3/16 of an inch when I received it it was 3 3/8 of an inch. Call the manufacturer and all they could say was oh sorry. That extra 3/16 of an inch made a difference on the installation
