Good quality. So far best price per oz if bought in this
I waited until I have gone through most of my 2nd 4 lb box to review this. I use it to make " 1 Bowl Baked Oatmeal" [ google the title for that piticular recipe.] It calls for 3c of oats for appx 8 servings per batch. I make 2 batches EVERY week b/c I cook for another family that requests 1 full batch per week. Plus the 2nd batch is for me. I have tried cheaper oats and more expensive oats. But, now I stick with this one due to the consistancy in results. It always arrives smelling fresh, & tastes great. Because I buy this in bulk, I do store 1 UNopened bag inside a 2 gallon zip lock FREEZER bag. The other bag is opened and stored in a air tight container in the fridge. This insures the oats stay as fresh as when i first opened it. BTW I store flour the same way. With so many products adding things to streach their products or preserve their shelf life, it's so nice to be able to buy a durable product with just 1 ingredient. For those who are just so- so on oatmeal, I will say that baked oatmeal made with milk, and a low amount of PURE maple syrup per serving is WAY better than oatmeal boiled in water. I always do a price check comparison before reordering. So, far the 4 lb box at 13 cents per oz Amazon has had the best price . Beating out both Wall Mart & BJ's.in my area about an hr east of Boston.

Excellent value for your money !
I love oatmeal ! I have it in the morning, and sometimes on a cold night as a snack. I do not buy those instant oatmeal packets, due to all of the added ingredients. If I want apple cinnamon oats, I simply use these whole oats with either some diced apples, applesauce, apple butter, or a little apple juice with some cinnamon or apple pie spice. I love to experiment with flavors too. Making P,B, & J oatmeal or chocolate, using either some cocoa powder or a packet of hot cocoa mix, in. I make pumpkin pie oatmeal by adding some canned pumpkin and a little pumpkin pie spice into it. I eat it with Greek yogurt, or berries, or some mashed banana with a pinch of cinnamon. I probably have made 100 different flavors and combinations over the years. I love to make granola with it. We munch on that, for a healthy, crunchy snac. It's so versatile too, because you can add or leave out anything you want to. Helps cut back on chips and sweets consumption because it covers those categories. It's great as an ingredient in museli. Even savory, cooked by replacing some of the water with some seasoned tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce. It's a nice change for a side item. There are hundreds of ways to change up the flavors of your morning or overnight oats naturally and without "junk" added in. My husband's favorite is to use the oats to make no-bake peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies. It's a great value for this box ! Eight pounds is a lot of oats, but when you eat it like we do, a monthly subscription is warranted.

What's not to love?
They're Quaker Oats, man. What can I say? They were good n fresh, cooked up nicely, and will be useful for more than just breakfast. I was glad to find such a big size because my local bulk store only had the instant.

Great bulk oat option
I make at least 2 loaves of honey oat bread a week. Each loaf takes 2.5C of oats. I also make overnight oats and oatmeal cookies fairly often. Buying in bulkis the most cost-effective option; these 2 64oz bags (4LBS) help me spend less, buy less often, and have consistently good texture, quality, and freshness.
