Excellent book with invaluable information. My only regret was not buying sooner.

Bought before filing. Then looked for lawyer with similar philosophy. Very important!My Divorce should be over in about 8 months or less. Would have been only 6 months, if not for her constant delays... She is trying hard to keep me. I'm the best thing to ever happen to her, sadly. But now I have full custody of our boys. She hasn't seen them in person since I filed 5 months ago. Female judge & lawyer have ruled in my favor every time. Unusual for a guy filing. Also she can only speak to boys while being recorded. Recording goes directly to my lawyer & I'm allowed to hang up the second she says anything bad or not appropriate! This is a 2 year agreement continuing after divorce is final. To see them in person, she must pass a very thorough drug test given without any notice. We are certain it won't happen! Surprise! She always fails. No alcohol & no drugs, unless she can first prove she has a valid & necessary prescription for substance in her name.I also keep everything: 3 cars, home, furnishings, & all but her own clothing. It's in exchange for me paying all debt, which is about $35,000. Home was already paid in full by me. My lawyer will cost up to $20k. I pay wife $975 per month for 3 to 5 years. It ends IF she lives with someone sooner. My stress level has NEVER been better! Good riddance can't come soon enough!Book has great advice. Her lawyer is so tired of her constant lies. Afraid he won't get paid, he is finally teaming up with MY lawyer. The lawyer you choose to represent you, makes ALL the difference. That's what the whole book is about. I thought I couldn't afford a divorce. Then I bought this book! Note: The longer you are married, the more a divorce will cost. Don't wait 2 more years like I did...

Great book. Easy read.

We still going through divorce and it bleeds us both emotionally and financially. Just recently read the book and it resonates with what we have gone through. Wish my ex would have read it but she declined to. I recommend the book to anyone who not yet ready but know the divorce is inevitable

Thoughts of divorce don't typically turn on like a light switch - they whittle at you over months and often years of frustration and disappointment. This book has a lot of focus on your perspective and style and situationally how to handle the divorce process. It is lengthy and has many stories about specific situations and how to face them. Good book, recommended. Good choice for that focus.

The author is passionate about giving people the info they need to avoid "a world war III divorce" as he calls it, and approach divorce in a way that minimizes financial and emotional damage while reaching a reasonable, acceptable conclusion. I highly recommend this guide to the dos and don'ts of divorce from someone who's seen what works and what doesn't.
