SEIKO 5 Sports Automatic Watch for Men

I own a large variety of watches ranging from Tissot to Omega and never gave Seiko a true chance. The sunburst dial and overall finish is absolutely stunning for $200 . The movement for price is great, especially with a 41 hour power reserve which is nothing to scoff at. The strap isn't great, not bad by any means but something to know before buying. I opted to swap the strap to a Nato strap like I do with many watches and enjoy them even more. For the money you cannot go wrong. I've seen a couple reviews stating the lume stops working, understand with all lumes you have to charge them with UV light (sunlight and or UV flashlight).

I had some concerns based on other reviews I saw, and well, I have no complaints. I heard a lot about this watch being a bit tall, and it’s really not noticeable at all. I have small wrists and this watch fits perfectly without looking even slightly to large in any way. The dial isn’t a flat blue like the image, but I knew that from watching some yt reviews on it. I really love the sunburst effect where it switches from a black to the deep blue. So much more I could say but just watch a yt review and buy the thing.

I've been a fan of Seiko since the 70s. With few exceptions, Seiko watches have preformed well and held up. This watch looks clean and stylish for everyday wear. I have a similar Seiko automatic movement that has worked flawlessly since 1977. Seiko 5 Sports delivers above its budget friendly price point.

I've been looking for a new watch to replace my daily wear Bullova chrono. So far this Seiko 5 seems like a very nice watch that you dont need to baby. Exactly what I was looking for. I've only worn it for the first day and looks to be about -5 sec/day so far. Better than I expexted actually and it looks great with the included bracelet. Removing a couple links to size was easy, the band has arrows stamped into the links to show the direction the pins come out. I haven't tried my NATO or leather bands yet, but should look great being a field watch.

Receytgecwatch I good condition but from day one it did not remain wound. I wore it all day for a month or so and when I did not wear it it just stopped. Now if I set it and wear it for the day it starts losing time regardless of a days motions. Don’t buy! I was replacing a Seiko my wife gave me over 30 years ago with zero problems.

The watch is of genuine quality, though the distributors of this particular model take a loopholes going through some Spanish or non Japanese market. I received my watch and it didn’t say it was made in Japan, this seems like a non issue but it started to really get to me after a minute. If you have any little want for it to be made in Japan just find a different distributor for this watch.

Excellent watch. Accurate and good looking. I always love Sieko brand, especially if it made in Japan. They are durable as well.
