Replacement Dusting Brush Fits Most Vacuums

I buy dusting brush attachments fairly regularly as we go through them. I am a painting contractor, and this and a floor brush are the two attachments that we use on our shop-vacs. The brush attachment we use mainly to clean up trim that we have sanded. These particular brushes have natural bristles that are long and soft. they are very delicate on surfaces, but the bristles flaten out fairly quickly. We usually use a stiffer bristle brush and it keeps its shape longer. If soft bristles are what you are after, this is a very good brush.

Works well. I purchased this to replace the marginal one that came with my Eureka Boss canister vac. This one has long soft bristles that make it easy to dust those hard spots like keyboards, lamp shades, detailed woodwork. Using a brush works so much better than suction alone. The brush wipes baseboards clean and makes cleaning window blinds less frustrating. I purchased a second one for use in the garage on my shop-vac. It also works great but has worn out quickly due to the more demanding nature of construction job site clean up.

The bristles are very soft, which is good from a non-scratching standpoint, but the are soft enough to be sucked inward into the connecting tube of the brush. This happens even at the low suction setting of my vacuum. This reduces the suction to render the brush into just a brush. So the dust gets 'brushed', but a lot of it doesn't get sucked into the vacuum. I'm still deciding whether to return this to Amazon. The alternative would be to get out my beard trimmer and just cut the bristles back to about ⅓ of their current length. Even then, I'm not sure they wouldn't get sucked into the head of the brush.

As another reviewer already pointed out, this dusting brush fits perfectly on the Eureka Hand-Held Vacuum (71B). That's a fantastic hand-held vacuum, and is made all the more useful by the addition of this brush. I had been using for a while the dusting attachments that come with the Micro Vacuum Attachment Kit, and although that kits still has it uses, this brush is miles better. You get increased bristle surface area, and you can take full advantage of the suction power of the vacuum.I'm a huge fan of the soft bristles on this. For one, my regular vacuum, a Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional (NV356), already has an brush with firm bristles, so having something similar would be redundant. More importantly, the soft bristles are able to get into small and delicate areas with ease. I have found this attachment especially useful for dusting the horizontal blinds in my house; the bristles get all around the thin cords with no trouble at all.Overall, this brush is a real winner, and I highly recommend any Eureka 71B owner purchase one of their own.

I have a Hoover Windtunnel upright, model UH70120. The brush fits snugly on to the vacuum extension rod, but it slides freely when attached directly to the vacuum hose. I use a brush in both approaches (connected to the rod, connected to the hose), so this brush is only half as useful as I hoped.EDIT 1/9/19: A few months after using the brush lightly, the bristle assembly separated from the brush head, something I saw mentioned elsewhere. It was easy to use glue to secure the two plastic pieces back together, so just a slight annoyance.

Nice compact brush. Good quality bristles and plastic. Fits my Sear's vacuum wand perfectly. Generous amount of bristles, all standing straight up. For some reason, the last two Sear's vacuums I purchases have rectangular shaped dusting brushes. It's very annoying since it won't fit into small or narrow spaces. So I ordered this one and am very pleased with the size, shape and quality.

I purchased this to use on the leather seats of my car. Because the bristles are so short and the opening of the attachment is relatively wide, the set-up was completely ineffective. I was unable to suck anything out of the stitched crevices, and was risking scratching the leather in my attempts.FYI: I ended up using a small handheld detailing brush to brush the crevices while I hovered the hose attachment over the area. Worked awesomely. Seats were the cleanest I've ever seen them.
