INCREDIBLY EFFECTIVE !
This is year five using this product, and I've found a cost-efficient solution that actually makes it work better than "out-of-the-box". At first, sprays and other attempts to rid fleas were a waste of cash. This trap really did capture a gangload of fleas, but 20 percent were escaping to breed again. After reading a few suggestions online, I decided to try Vegetable Oil in place of the glue pad, and I'm right on 98 percent kill rate now. The bulb is easily replaceable at most grocery stores, a type I compare to Christmas candles one places in windows for decorations, rated 4 Watts and 6000 hours, 4 for $1.99. Very cheap. The difference seen by using Vegetable Oil, and going without the grid cover kicks tail! On a bug level, what the oil does is trap the flea, and the more it struggles, the quicker it suffocates. This is like quicksand to fleas, and the breeding cycle ends within days. Thing is, though, once fleas set in, the trap will have to be run for a month to catch the new fleas, which are considerably smaller. This year's infestation started with an adopted pregnant kitty, which I kept indoors for her birthing. She did fine, and after a month I let her outside to explore... and with her scent, here came the fleas. Not a problem for a while, but even with early drops on her and the kittens, the flea population went exponential. Timewise, I got all of the kitties outside to stay, and they are doing great. Inside, however, I had the additional volume of flea eggs hatching... and I became the food source! Several tricks also work. 3M masking tape will stick to a biting flea on your skin, better than trying to pinch them. If you are quick, tweezers work almost 100 percent, too. Still does not keep them from mating, though. Truly, fleas are difficult to eradicate without calling expensive poison experts... and the question is... am I willing to spend bookoo cash on bug control? Are little bitty biting bugs worth hundreds of dollars, when the same money is far better in my account. In my situation, I know to expect fleas for about 2 months with a litter of new kittens, and once they wean off Mommacatz, I can run baths and flea dip outside.Results. In a compact, cluttered bachelor pad, the population hit a mark which was expected, and a can of spray made no dent at all. The egg cycle is the problem with fleas. Personally, I think 7 dollar cans at the store are mostly soap, with no killing ability. Toxins are so controlled nowadays, We, as a Public, are kinda stuck paying the Pros. For a specific insect problem, some steps really knock out what is wrong.1. Eliminate the food source2. Bait the breeders3. Tolerate the stragglers4. Be responsible with chemicalsGREEN, is the Gvt standard, and yay okay. America is a good society, and We want to keep up the good work.United States is tight on FDA and quality food, whereas foreign countries need money. We cannot have super-toxins in our water supply anymore because of volume.PET Industry is good money. Good thing about USA and most of Europe is we are free to mod a product to find theULTIMATE way.* Since I started this typing, not one bite, but easily, about a hundred fleas are in the oil.* Last night was 300* Worst night before, 800They are thinning out in 3 nights!I call that success. Fleas go with the turf.* Final question would be why did I accept the pregnant cat? > Truth is she found home sweet home. <* Overall, this light-bulb type of trap makes incredible grades.

They work
These are refills for the flea trap. My only issue is they come folded in the box. They have to lay flat in the trap so your dealing with a warp in the middle that stick up. I placed them under some heavy books to try and level them out before use. That helped some but they still stick up in the middle and stick to the trap cover. If they could package them in a better box that would make them perfect.

They work but OVER priced
I do not understand why these cost so much. and THEN the Box is too small so they arrive a bit curled up so you have to figure out a way to flatten them without them sticking to something.

Excellent non toxic alternative
I have an infant in the household and unfortunately with the weather this year fleas have been a nightmare on our cats so I needed an alternative to the bombs and pesticides that are offered by retail. This device worked like a charm, I put it down in the area that was the most infested and within 30 minutes I already had some on pad. Within a day there were a couple of dozen. The only objection I have is it is a little unsightly but considering the smell a flea bomb or carpet treatment can bring this I can live with the sight of the device. As well the little grate they put is loose but can be secured with a simply rubberband, and good news they have one holding it for shipping! In comparison to the alternatives this is amazing, I tried the non toxic, organic powder that is vacuumed in and it was horrible. Also even tried a spray that did nothing for the most part. Now keep in mind if you have pets that are bringing in the fleas and you are not treating them in conjunction with this device you are going to lose, plain and simple. You have to hit them (fleas) from all fronts in order to get the infestation down and under control, if not eliminated.

Flea recapture pads work great.
I would rather that the pads were not folded to get them into their box. I think a box that was the exact size of the pad would be better. It is hard to get them to lay flat.

Tt it works!
Product works great. Easy to use. Only complaint is that the refills do not fit in product packaging. So they bend them to make them fit. Which interferrs with them laying flat in the trap.

Does the job + some
Just changed out the sticky paper today from 1 week ago. Lots of fleas, flea eggs/larvae, as well as some spiders and small bugs. Really great in the garage.
