Would buy again, unsure on volume.
Would recommend or buy again.Pros: I like that it comes with a splitter so you can listen to the music that the baby is listening to. Fit is accurate to guide. It is comfortable to wear, but may get more difficult as pregnancy progresses. The pocket is a nice addition and provides a place to put the iPod while I am moving around.Cons: I am not sure how accurate the claim that it limits/regulates the volume output as some songs I can hear it coming from the speakers. It doesn't provide any guidelines with the volume level to use so it concerns me that it claims to regulate yet sometimes I can hear it coming from the band.

Happy I chose this one!!
I'm 5'8" (158lbs) and I've put on about 30 lbs as of 7 months... So I sent the size 4,6,8 back and ordered the larger size b/c I was afraid that it wouldn't fit me comfortably during the last 2 months of my pregnancy. I received the larger one and I love it! Very comfortable and my baby either loves the music or hates it b/c she seems to be more active when I first start playing the music for her, then she settles down some. I bought both baby Mozart and baby Beethoven and she gets more excited with Mozart (which to me sounds a little more up-beat). I haven't washed this item b/c I only wear it an hour a day while laying in bed so it hasn't gotten dirty. They say you can wash the whole thing, speakers included. Overall, this item does just what I need and I don't have to worry about buying parts for it.

Comfort and function meet!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product! Not only is it very easy to wear and extremely comfortable, it is also audible only to the baby. I was worried that people around me would wonder about the sound coming from my mid-section, but no worries...you literraly have to have someone stick their head against your tummy to hear it. I keep having my hubby check to make sure that it is still playing to the baby. Also, I cannot emphasize enough how comfortable it is. The material is heavenly against your belly. It's very soft and stretchy and the little pocket works out quite well for an ipod. I have been wearing it to work and you can't even tell, especially under maternity pants. The baby definitely moves around more when certain songs are playing, which is always fun :) If you want your baby to share your love of music get this product!!!

Eh. It's ok.
I didn't love this. In fact, I only wore it once. The concept is a nice idea, but I felt like I was connected to so many wires if I wanted to listen to the music too. I'm 5'0" and 120lbs pre-pregnancy and got the Size B which was extremely uncomfortable in my late 2nd trimester (around 135-140lbs). The hems don't have a lot of give which is my biggest complaint. While the fabric itself is very soft and stretchy, that doesn't do much good if you can barely get it on over your hips/behind or shoulders/arms. Overall, I found it very frustrating to be entangled in wires and didn't really enjoy the experience. Listening to music with the baby is what I wanted, but this wasn't the right tool for it. I ended up passing this on to my sister who uses it, but also doesn't love it.

Good start, but could use some more improvement
The materials did seem of high quality as the other reviews suggest, but it was smaller than expected. I'm on the low end of the sizing chart, and it was almost too tight at 4 months. Also, the speakers are incredibly small (think earbud size), so it is unlikely that it would be that effective with any ambient noise going on. We now get a lot more response from just playing music on the stereo, and never really got any response with this product. The placement of the pocket right in the middle also makes it very obvious if you wear it around, and the splitter is of the cheapest quality. The headphone jacks are wider than most, so if you have a device with restricted access (eg. an iPhone with a bumper) then this will not work unless you can widen the access (eg. take off the bumper).

Little girl loves music!
Our 3 month old loves music and we introduced it to her at about 20 weeks along in my pregnancy! We made a child safe playlist which included ocean sounds, Pachabels Cannon in D, kid songs and other nature sounds. She would almost "dance" in my belly! Now, she loves music! The calming sounds of nature lul her to sleep, and the kidsongs and classical music stimulate her mind and she laughs and kicks her feet! I loved that I could just plug my ipod in and it didnt matter if I was laying still or if I was at the grocery store!

FANTASTIC system!
This was an amazing purchase! Not only is it priced MUCH better than many of the other options out there, its actually really comfy to wear! The stretchy material is super smooth and slinky, so it doesnt make you itchy like some maternity waistband materials do. In fact, its so comfy and supportive that I often wear it without the Ipod:-) I love putting it on and feeling the babies (Its twins!) wiggle and kick to the sound. This was a fantastic purchase, and Im so glad I bought it.

This is ok, however I didn't use it as much, since I can't hear the music I'mNever sure if the item is playing too loudly for my baby. I bought the size small, but my belly grew and now it feels tight.
