Hard to go wrong with Sram - Especially at this price.
Replaced a Sunrace M90 Derailleur that I was trying to get to work with one of the Bolany 11-46T 9-speed cassettes. I made the Sunrace derailleur work - but not well. The X5 replacement works fabulously on the 11-46T 9-speed cassette (with a 22mm hanger extension). You need to be aware that you can't use a Sram derailleur with other's shifters (Like Microshift - even though Microshift might say Sram compatible. I tried my Microshift 9-speed trigger shifter. It obviously has the wrong pull for the Sram X5 ).You need a Sram X5 shifter for the X5 derailleur to work. One thing Sram has going for it, among other things, is the bare cable routing within the derailleur itself. The plastic radiused cable guide is genus on Sram's part. No binding in the lower gears. Consistent and easy pull throughout.Made my happy.I would have save a day's worth of time if I'd just started with the Sram.

SRAM-X5, 9 Speed….Best Derailleur in its price range
Need to replace a broken rear derailleur? The SRAM-X5 is an excellent derailleur capable of handling 9 speed rear cassettes. If you need the hanger….it’s a bargain too. This derailleur has had a lot of neglect and abuse from my son and it has performed surprisingly well. It broke during a repair….not from use and shopping around….I found the original SRAM-X5 to be the best bargain. I wouldn’t hesitate to use one again.

Be sure to add the hangar extension
I needed to expand both high and low gear ranges on my E-MTB. Was using a 12-34 and a 38 chain ring 9 speed. Changed to a 42 chain ring and the Microshift 11-46. Got this derailleur to replace my old medium cage SRAM X5. New configuration adds much more capability to my up hill climbs and to the long flat stretches. Easy install. Used the Wolflink 22mm extender. Without that your mech won’t clear to two largest (37 and 46 teeth) cogs. Happy riding!

Easy set up and ride. Good stuff.
Works great with no issues right out of the box. I wanted to put a new drive on my older full suspension and this worked great. I set it up on a 11-40t rear cassette and it works awesome. I recommend. Sram makes good stuff.

Picture not accurate
Picture and description was for a long cage, but received a medium cage, I had to remove a link and the chain is a little shorter than I like on a 36X32 set up. It worked, but barely.

Replaced SRAM X.7 and works great
I used this X.5 to replace a X.7 (failed during a chain break) on an old Trek mountain bike. It shifts very quietly and smoothly now. I couldn't find the X.7 anymore, so I took a chance and was not disappointed. I also replaced the shifter cable at the same time since the old one was stretched and fraying at the end. I used a universal one also found on amazon.

Direct Replacement Derailleur For Sram X.9
I had to replace my 12 year old SRAM X.9 derailleur. It would consistently miss gears no matter what I did for adjustment. Even after I replaced the chain and the rear derailleur cable. I'm not a bicycle mechanic and this was my first derailleur replacement. It took me a long time to get 'H' and 'L' dialed in. Everything has to be right, including the front derailleur and cable tension. However, once it's set up properly... it does work well and it has solved my gear jumping problem.
