Speedy Stitcher SEW110-BRK Sewing Awl Kit

I finally able to stitch leather & nylon webbing for custom knee ascender. I have a chest ascender & converted it as knee ascender. I previously used layers of paracord to attached to my climbing boot. Did not liked it as much. So I used 1.25” nylon webbing strap but it need stitching. I only have garment sewing kit which is not strong enough for climbing. So I ordered it so the stitching can hold my weight.

Quite an impressive and practical tool! I wish I had one of these years ago.Sturdy, well-built, high-quality construction.My kit included the spare needles and after a few messy attempts (very sad!) I am now able to do a repair that looks professional. (It’s actually quite satisfying work!)I used this first, on a dog-toy. A THICK braided cord in the toy that was too thick for a shoemaker to repair… but this stitcher did a great repair of it - and to stand up to the abuse my German Shepard puts that ball through is impressive.Easy to use, (once you get the knack), easy to store, robust and high-quality.No wonder they have been selling them for a hundred years!! I wish I had heard of them decades ago!!
