Bought this to use on my Trex deck underneath a small portable firepit. The firepit has a base that's about 6" tall underneath the fire burning bowl. Seemed to work fine the first few times I had a fire that lasted about an hour. But the first time I did a longer fire (~3 hours), the next day I found that the mat was stuck to my deck because the bottom PE layer had melted to my deck. The top fiber layer was fine, there was no direct heat. It just couldn't handle the heat all the way through the material. I'm hoping the melted material will come off my deck without damage.

The 30" Fire Pit Mat is perfect for using underneath my portable fire pit. I wanted something to protect the patio/deck when My 3 teenagers and their friends got a little crazy with the fire pit… Sometimes they tend to think it’s funny to add way too much wood and paper just to see the flames go crazy! This, intern, causes burns on my deck, patio, and grass sometimes. I definitely need some thing under it for protection. It also looks great and the material will absorb spills and is easy to clean using dish soap and a hose. I know now that we have this mat under the fire pit, I don’t need to watch the teenagers as closely as I usually do. I feel much safer having this mat under the pit.

Unfortunately, the edge curls up so it collects water when it rains. Also, it seemed to melt a little bit from the feet of my chimenea. I'll try buying from another company

Not sure how but it made the problem worse?? The dead grass spot under my moveable fire pit was larger with this under it than with nothing under it. Maybe it distributed the heat throughout the whole pad? Not sure but the dead grass was now in a perfect circle under the mat rather than a small spot under the pit. Returned.

Put this under my fire pit, on grass. Fire was only lit for 2-3 hours but that was enough to scorch the grass underneath. Not sure how heat resistant it really is. Bummed.

Using this mat under my propane fire unit on our Trex deck and it’s worked out just great so far.Great product and great price. Can’t go wrong with this item!

The 30" Fire Pit Mat is perfect for my Masterbuilt Smoker. I wanted something to protect the deck when removing food and water tray from the smoker. It also looks great and the material will absorb spills and is easy to clean using dawn and a hose.

Love this double suet feeder (have 3 of them) as they protect the suet from weather as well as keep out the Grackles and large petty birds. Suet seems to last longer as rain doesn't get in. Easy to open, fill and clean. It is nice looking as well. Worth the price.
