My Nikon D7100 can with a 40-180mm lens, which took great pictures. when focusing in on an object or person, the lens field of view captures most of the object (depending on how close I was, and zoom). However, I wanted a lens that would focus closer, at a distance. This lens is perfect for that. I am a novice at taking pictures, so I'm still trying to figure out my camera's capabilities. So, some of the shots taken with the lens that came with the camera could use a little photo shop editing. With the new lens, the pictures are very clear. Clearer then the images I get with the lens that came with the camera. By the way, the auto focus works really well.Bottom line, great lens, great price. You will be satisfied.

Decent and affordable lens
I am not professional. Bought this lens on sale and mounted on Nikon D7100. Very impressed with this lens. It is very light, fast focus, quiet and sharp. It is great lens.

Great Value for an Amateur Photographer
Great outdoor lens, I have a D5300 and bought this lens for a beach trip. I had no issues with it at all. I'm sure the pros could spot differences between this and much more expensive lenses, but it was perfect for me.

This lens is awesome for outside pictures. I'm no photographer but even i can take great pictures with this.

Pros:It has a fast auto focusCons:The lens felt cheeply built and didn't have much weight to it.It doesnt have vibration reduction which causes a lot of flicker.The lens isn't weather sealed like the lens that came with the camera.

Great product, questionable shipping
Bought to add some range to my D3500 Nikon. Lens is great and is super clear. Only complaint was that it was shipped in it's own box with nothing around it. Given the fragile nature, would have been prudent to put in larger box with support.
