Installation can be tricky
First of all this a fantastic product and easy once you figure it out.The wiring is the tricky part, installing the lock is pretty easy. I looked up plenty of videos and that first part wasn’t a problem. Feeding it under my truck had its challenges and I needed a few extra zip ties. Then actually attaching the wires was easy but some videos direct you to the wires inside the dividing panel between the drivers side and the passenger side. While another video directed me to the floor pane closest to the driver side door.Unfortunately the instructions given aren’t clear on this either. But eventually I figured out it was the dividing panel underneath the seat belt and was able to get it all to work.Overall great product

Easily installed.
Works as promised, easy install. My only gripe is the lock solenoid is very loud but that's just being picky.

Pretty Easy to Install
Overall, it's pretty easy to install. Just take your time working through the instructions and you'll get there. Needed few tools. For me that was a 10mm socket wrench, 1 hex key, wire tie clippers and a knife. Some things you might want to know if you have a 2005 Tacoma, crew cab, 4x4 (or eq.). Feeding the short wires (to power the lock) through your tailgate drain holes probably won't work. Didn't for me. I had to strip the plastic coating off the leads to be able to do that (still a tight fit). Next, don't try to run the wires down the driver side to the cab. Way too many obstructions. Use the passenger side....much, much easier. My wiring of choice was, at the tailgate: blue -> blue; and green -> green. At the cab, it was blue -> blue and green -> blue w/ pink stripe. Worked the first time around. Overall, I wasn't in a rush, so I could work through things slowly, step by step. Works fine and I like that it has a separate key (I didn't see the need to spend an extra $50-$100 for the model that'll work with your OEM ignition key).
