Double Trouble in Walla Walla

As a former elementary school teacher, I read this book endlessly to hundreds of students. I recently ordered it for my 5 year-old grandson. It is the absolute best! It's quirky, extremely hilarious, with great rhyming to strengthen word pronunciations. This book is a Must-Order! It has a surprising, explosive center that causes you to physically turn the book in full rotation as the story reaches its peak. Omg...that's my favorite part! All ages will love this book. The vibrant illustrations also guarantee smiles, laughter and a request to read the book again. So get it and enjoy it!!!! You will not be disappointed.

I have read this book to countless classes through the years. I have moved and couldn't find the right box with this book so I ordered a new copy. I read it to a class of Third Graders for Dr. Seuss Day. They love it when you do different voices for the characters and then involve them in the words in the balloons. Great fun!

My granddaughter wanted to hear this over and over (and over) when she was younger. Thank goodness there are a couple of younger grandchildren coming up so I can read it some more.

This is one of those wonderful read out loud books. Every class I've read it to really enjoys wonderful jumbled word play. Illustrations are lovely (Andrew Clements is very talented). I've read this book from kindergartners to 4th graders - all get a kick out of it.

My kids have always loved tongue twisters and silly words so when we got Double Trouble in Walla Walla, it was an instant hit! My 4 year old gets nore excited as the story goes along and the words get wilder. And our older kids ages 8 and 9 really enjoy reading it to her. It's been on the top of the bedtime story list for a couple of weeks now. A great book!
