If simple and cute is all you're looking for, then here it is!First, keep in mind the dimensions you want and have when buying this desk! It's lower and narrower than a typical 'full-sized' desk. Not to say this desk is puny, but I will say it caters to a more simplistic and minimalistic space. As someone who recently graduated college and wanted a change of workspace looks, this fit exactly what I was looking for.I built the desk myself and followed the instructions that came with the package. Keep track of your screws once you lay everything out. Everything is perfectly labeled, so it's not hard to follow which screws and legs attach to which parts.The only trouble I had was with the shelves, but it's nothing too big. The bottom & larger one was a tight fit into the frame but it was exact where even without the screws it would have stayed in place. The top & smaller shelf was where I struggled - it only fit sideways where the holes don't line up in the frame, so now it slides into place but it stays there and I can live with it.The texture of the desk isn't completely smooth, but it's not rough and unpolished wood either. It's a nicely finished light colored wood. I have no troubles writing on paper directly on the table either which is great. The frame and top is sturdy but light, so one able-bodied person can easily move this around the room!Just know your dimensions and you won't regret buying this desk!

First, I can't believe how quickly I got this! I am a teacher currently working from home for the rest of the school year. This is the perfect size for what I need, and that is simply a work space for now, probably not a long term home office. Assembly was easy with minimal steps, but I took off 1 star because there is a mistake in the directions. When you attach the top (the last step), the directions state that you need to screw the top into the leg pieces and the bar across the top. There are NO holes in the bar across the top. It doesn't compromise the structure at all, but it's not fun when you get to end of assembling anything and think , even for a second, that you need to undo what you just did. Otherwise, I highly recommend this desk for anyone who needs an affordable desk for their home, that looks nice and doesn't take up tons of space.

Overall, I am very pleased with this desk and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a functional, stylish, and comfortable workspace. It's the perfect addition to any home or office and a worthwhile investment.The desk is also very easy to assemble. With clear instructions, it took me less than an hour to set it up on my own. I was impressed by how well-constructed it was, with high-quality materials that ensure it will last a long time.

This desk is nothing fancy but I did not expect that based on the price point. However, it's perfect for our small office and goes with our decor. The desk came securely packed and was easy to put together in about half an hour by myself. I plan on finding a couple wire baskets or trays that will fit on the shelves in lieu of desk drawers. This is perfect for my minimal needs - a surface to use my laptop on, store some office supplies, and do a bit of writing. The dimensions are 41.5"W x 18.5"L x 28"H. If you're hoping for a sturdy enough desk that is not top of the line materials but has a nice modern look to it you should consider this desk.

Great desk it is very easy to put together. Just by following the instructions. Very durable as well.

We have absolutely loved this desk! I think it’s good quality and it’s upheld very well!! We’ve used it for homeschooling. Has room to slide bins in and be organized! Great color as well! 10/10!

UPDATE: I was told by Sauder that these marks are intentional "cross cut" marks, not flaws or scratches. While I was a little surprised by this, as the photos of the product don't really show this to the extent that my desk does, I do appreciate the very prompt response from Sauder to my inquiry. Very good customer service.And I will reiterate that this was a very simple desk to assemble - it took me about 20 minutes. Every single item was perfectly aligned, and all the fasteners went in easily (most of the way by hand). It's not an awkward or heavy item to manuever and more than two hands were never needed to hold things in place. Not sure what other reviewers had problems with!Original review: Have a big project and needed a supplemental desk, and this is the perfect size. Very sturdy, went together precisely, smoothly, and quickly with one person, BUT the top and shelves all had vertical scratch marks, shown in the photos. Everything was in the box with protection, so I assume this must have happened either during manufacturing or when it was packed. Really disappointing, but I can't imagine returning it so I have to live with it.

The media could not be loaded. Very sturdy for the price and versatile. You could put this desk next to other wood, stains and colors and it blend right in with anything you put in the room. Can hold someone under 150 pounds for reference, and the legs are nice and stable. Didn’t take long to put together, maybe an hour if even that!
