Hasn't zapped any bugs
I purchased this because we have a doggie door off of our bedroom and I was waking up with tons of bug bites. I turned on this product and left it by the door, on my nightstand, on the dresser, and on the counter in our en suite bathroom. I used this at night before bed and while we were sleeping. I used this during the day when there were no humans or pets in the room (because I read it might be more effective if we weren't around). The product works in that it charges well, turns on, emits a blue light and noise, and stays on for a substantial period of time. The product does not seem to work in that I have never seen a single dead bug on or around it and I've been using it for weeks. I still wake up with mosquito bites so I think it's a failure of the product, not a lack of bugs. Overall, I am not super impressed with this item.

Works very well on my small patio!
The media could not be loaded. Read a lot of the reviews saying how this doesn't work and thought I would give it a try for myself. Was really looking for something that would be a good fit for my small apartment patio. Didn't want one of those bug zappers that you can hear humming or was large enough to kill all the bugs in my complex (the neighbors can take care of their own patio, lol).I was very skeptical at first but after 5 minutes I saw a couple sparks and smelled burning bugs. In the video and photos, that's an hour of using it.My only complaint and the reason why I only have it 4 stars, is the lack of power adapter. I would like to have it plugged in and not just battery powered out here on my patio. This way I could leave it running all night. With that said, I plan on buying a second one for my patio so I can have 2, one on either side.

Sort of works, but not as expected.
I see no spark, hear no pop, like I do with other zappers. I've even seen fruit flies WALKING on the wire grid. But it is attracting them, allowing me to use a zap swatter to kill them. Not a recommended purchase.Edit: about a week or so after my review, it started to work as advertised. I don't know why there was the delay, but it works very well now. I am considering getting multiples for different locations. My biggest complaint now is with the included cable. It is laughably short, so you need to rely not only on a third party cable but on a third d party adapter to actually plug it in.

Best place to place it.
First out of the box, put it in kitchen next to fruit bowl. Did not catch a single fruit fly for a day and a half. (lots of flies around fruit) Moved it to bedroom where flies bother during sleep. In the morning were several fruit flies "zapped". Must not be strong enough to lure flies from fruits and veggies. Was seriously considering returning until I saw dead fruit flies in wire grid. Battery short lived between charges, best to leave plugged in to USB wall wart. In the mean time vacuum hose & extension best way to suck up fruit flies. They also seem to be unable to resist an open glass of red wine.

Place on a sticky pad
The recharging cord is almost uselessly short and the charge will only last maybe an hour or two. However, the light really does attract bugs, they just don’t necessarily all go onto the grid to be electrocuted. If you place this light on one of those bug catcher sticky cards (obviously need to leave the paper on the spot that you place this catcher onto - so it doesn’t stick 🙄), and plug it in, you will definitely catch all sorts of bugs. Gnats, earwigs, flour beetles, egads -they all seem drawn to the light. I leave it on the floor and have caught my husband once on it as well.

Small but works
This small bug zapper works great. Takes more than a few hours to charge from empty and what I especially like it the light changes colors from red to green , green being fully charged. It lasts for im guessing 8 hrs from fully charged but I’m not 100% on that because I haven’t timed it I just know I turn it on when I go to sleep and wake up in the morning and it is still working.

No mosquitos killed, but the instructions are entertaining
Kills plenty of moths; unfortunately no mosquitos killed - so I did return it. When I first opened the box, I found the instructions, written in a tiny font (possibly 4 point) on a tiny scrap of paper. As I read the instructions, I got the impression that I had made a mistake in my purchase. I'm including the exact instructions below. See what you think.Use Suggestions1. Please turn on the mosquito killer lamp at least 2 hours before sleeping.2. The mosquito killer lamp works better under nobody environment as the body's temperature and smell are more attractive to mosquito to affect the using effect.3. The mosquito killer lamp adopts the physical anti-mosquito, without any drugs and chemical ingredients, so mosquito killer lamp can not kill mosquitoes immediately once it turn on.4. Due to kill mosquito by the physical electric shock, the mosquito wrecks that were killed yesterday can be cleaned directly the next day.5. Please keep it use for more than 48 hours continuously for the first time. The use effect is better in dark environment. Please place it higher than 1 meter on the ground. Turn off other lights to ensure the only source of mosquito control.Cleaning StepsUse a cleaning brush to clean mosquitoes and debris from the electric grid, then dump the trash into the tgarbage can and remember washing your hands.

Just doesn’t work
Does not attract mozzies at all. We had to trap one against it to finally zap it despite being many around.

Casi no mata nada.
Atrae muy pocos zancudos adentro de la casa. Sin embargo una noche lo dejé en el exterior y amaneció lleno de palomillas muertas.
