If They Would Let Me Give This Tumbler Lid 10 Stars, I Would Gladly Give It All Ten Stars!
If they let me I would give this lid 10 stars!!! I recently bought a 30 oz tumbler to force me to drink more water because I only like ice water if any. I really didn't like the lid that came with the tumbler. It was a no frills lid and it didn't even have a slide to cover the drink spout. It was especially annoying because I have been used to my Contigo Travel Mugs that are excellent in not spilling. I had a particular Contigo cup that I was using for my ice water, but I was in the process of moving, no wait I won't blame it on moving , I am just a major klutz and drop things a lot and in addition I do have Rhematoid Arthritis, so I will now blame THAT for why I drop everything. Anyway I dropped the Contigo cup that I was using for ice water a couple of times and noticed that the ice water tasted strange. Those cups also kept the water iced for a long time so I threw it out when the water tasted weird and bought the tumbler forgetting that most other cups spill. I had also ordered a couple of the slide tops and while they stopped the splash, if the tumbler fell over it would still leak. I happened upon this lid which at the time was the first one of it's type that I found. I had knee surgery and am using a rollator and had the tumbler on the trayand it fell off the tray and on to the carpeted floor. Held my breath and remembered that there was only water in it and then the new lid was on. Not one drop spilled. The new top was GREAT! The next night I had the tumbler on the table next to my chair in the living room and the cup fell off the table and on to the floor right where I have all the charging cords and power strip for them and it seemed to strike the floor heavily, probably because it was full of ice and water. Again, I held my breath and jumped up as much as I could jump up and got around the chair. When I picked up the tumbler, the lid remained completely in place even though the tumbler was heavy because it was completely filled and the black spout cover remained shut tightly. I could only imagine what a mess I would have had if the sheer force of the amount of water in the tumbler had loosened the lid and caused it to pop out! But again this lid saved me. I am now getting braver, so I got another tumbler to put my Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee (that I drink all year around ) and I am going to get another one o f these lids. I am keeping my fingers crossed that if I DO end up spilling the coffee tumbler full of coffee, the new lid will save the day again! Like you, I am an avid Amazon shopper, so if I give a product full stars it is because in my mind, it earned it! Of course, if my opinion changes at any time in the future, I will come back with an update!

Don't use for carbonated drinks! But still excellent!
This works great. Initially it fits a Yeti 30oz tumbler weirdly, but I think the gasket just needed to adjust and it's now perfect. Just a fun reminder (from experience...) it does not do well with carbonated drinks! Mine nearly exploded off when I poured a tall-can of beer into it. It popped off while I was walking and was quite startling.

good leak proof lid, but knocks you in the nose
eh. its no fault of the lid, but i don't think i would buy another one.it does what it says it will do...its a leak proof lid that fits my RTIC 30 oz mug. I think it is a poor design tho...when you flip open the little gasket to have a drink, it sticks out so much that when you tip the mug up to your face to drink it pokes you in the nose which is really awkward. maybe with a straw it would be OK, but then that sort of defeats the purpose of a leak proof lid. would be a pain to keep installing/removing the straw each time.So i don't know, i just think its not the most ergonomic design. the slide ones are probably better for not hitting you in the nose so much (but i was reading that they leak more?). So this lid does what it's supposed to, but I find myself still just using the stock lid with the hole in it, because I don't enjoy getting knocked in the nose every time I drink.

DOESN'T LEAK AND CLIP STAYS OUT OF THE WAY WHEN DRINKING
I got this lid so that I didn't have to worry about keeping it from spilling when I carried my Yeti with a load of other things to and from work. It works great! I was hesitant to try it because I thought the clip that keeps it from spilling would be in the way when I was drinking out of it, but, it folds back far enough to stay out of the way. It stays securely back so it isn't falling down on your face when your drinking. So YAH! Problem solved!

Great leake proof lid but kinda works with soda
This lid will not leaks with cold beverages unless its soda. It will keep soda in there but sometimes the lid poops off a little because of all that pressure build up. For hot beverages let it cool for a few minutes than pop on lid and check again in a few minutes to ensure that lid doesn't pop off. The lid does hit your noise a bit so I tend to lean back a bit and that seems to solve the problem. Easy to clean. Easy to put on just open the hole and push in.

The Buddy Drinkware lid is actually leak / spill proof
The Buddy Drinkware lid is actually leak / spill proof on a Mossy Oak 30 oz Double Wall Stainless Steel container (Black) I bought at Walmart.Word of advise....After you wash the cover make sure the rubber seal is wet BEFORE before you try to install it on the Mossy Oak cup as it will be a very tight fit. At my job, (I am a computer tech) we can only have spill proof containers or bottles with screw on lids. This fits the bill perfectly. The only negative i can see with the lid is the black tab of the lid does not swing back far enough (doesn't lay flat when opened). When you open the lid and drink from the opening, the tab rests on the top of your nose which is slightly annoying. Over all I would recommend this lid if you have a 30 oz MO cup and need it to be spill proof.

Don't bother
Horrible! Waste of money, you can't drink out of the lid when open....the seal doesn't move back far enough. You would have to remove the whole lid to drink from the cup. Bad design

Four Stars
Does it's job well, but wished the flap folded back a little further. It hits my nose during use.
