It's not a bad frame. One thing you must remember... oh and the headboard mount is a joke.
I got this direct from the manufacturer, and apart from outdated instructions and a missing piece (which they are sending me), it's not a bad frame. One thing you must remember, the bolts that go through the frame into the legs... those need to be tighted beyond all reason. Basically you are compressing the bar against the leg post so it doesn't wobble. You will need a power tool for this. Beyond that, it goes together very easily.UPDATE: I tried to install our headboard, which is pretty hefty and wood, to the frame using the headboard brackets and it was a total joke. Mechanically, these brackets mount to the frame by going around one of the vertical bars at the edge and you tighten a bolt to deform the metal and clamp the bracket to the bar. The part that attaches to the headboard is a thin metal plate (very thin) and the orientation is such that is basically acts like a spring. There is ZERO rigidity or stability whatsoever. It's not physically possible. The most secure mounting would to have the bracket not parallel to the headboard but perpendicular to it, but that's not what they did. It's awful. Especially if you ever hoped to use the headboard for support in ... amorous activities. Or even just to lean back on it to read or relax. It's a terrible design.
