I use this on my outtings in the woods for my external ir lights and mic works great made of plastic so its light weight and locking shoes are great they hold everything light they are supposed to so need a tricoldshoe for your camcorder this is the one that will work for you great price and hasnt failed me yet.

Ya get what ya pay for
It gets the job done BUT is wobbly which for me isn’t convenient, and makes my setup worse. If sturdiness is important spend some extra money and buy something better

A simplistic design and regular plastic have made it convenient to use. The screws will eventually loosen, so keep that hex wrench or get a set of those, to tighten the screws from time to time.
