Great book! Plus, Here's a Fun Way to Use It...
This is a really great devotional (devo) book for kids. I have 2 young ones and they really engage with these stories. The questions at the end of every devo are an EXCELLENT tool for keeping the kids listening throughout. Bravo author! We read one devo every morning at the breakfast table. Frankly, I think my wife and I learn almost as much as the kids. There are tons of interesting facts about the animals featured that we (my wife and I) never knew either.HOW WE USE THE BOOK:But here's the best part. Every morning after we read a devo that features a certain animal, I get out my iPad, go to Google or Bing (I actually prefer Bing for finding photographs) and do an image search on the name of the animal. Suddenly I have hundreds of pictures at my fingertips that I can show the kids. I pick out about 6-10 pictures and show them to the kids while they finish up eating. They love it and look forward to it everyday. My wife and I have found that this does a couple of things:1) It really captures the kids imagination. After they have heard the devo and seen real pictures of the animals they starting talking, asking questions, and generally getting excited about all the cool creatures God has made.2) It makes what we just read all the more real. This is especially true when the devo is about some obscure animal (say, an Avocet?) that we have never heard of before--including my wife and me. We can look up pictures and marvel at the amazing variety of animals God made.3) It helps them learn by giving them visuals to put with the facts we just read. Like the day we read about the microscopic amoeba. How do you even describe that to a kid? Well pictures sure help.4) It helps them understand nature better because there are almost always pictures of "baby animals" along with their adult parents. And if the babies are cute (such as a tiger cub as opposed to, say a maggot--baby caterpillar or worm) we get a big round of "Awwwwww, isn't that cute!!" :-)5) It's just fun, because they LOVE seeing photographs of animals. So I highly recommend getting this devotional. And I recommend even more using it in conjunction with an iPad (or some other tablet or smartphone) that can search the internet for pictures. If your kids love animals as much as mine do, this book will definitely be a highlight of the day for the whole family. Enjoy!!

Not disappointed
My kids ( 4 & 7 yrs) really enjoy this book. They ask me to read from it. The stories are interesting and have lots of facts that I didn't even know about some creatures. We end up going on line to watch a video of the creature afterwards. My only complaint is that the verses they pick match the story well but are not always a verse that I can keep stating to my kids to help it sink in. I prefer to have a devotional that has a verse we can meditate on the entire week. But, that being said, this is a interesting, fun book to read and I would buy again.

The story was educational for people me and others to understand.
I choose this rating because the book was very good but if there was pictures it would make a good vision to what is going on. But, must of all I love the book!!😍 O what to see 👀 one that is awesome again (not saying that this book was not awesome I love it) !!!!!😍

Gifted the book but brief scan looked good
I gifted this book so I did not get to really look into it enough, I feel, to give the most accurate rating. What I looked through was what I was looking for and what was described in the book's description. There were short (1 page or just over 1 page) sections that described an animal or insect, etc and what makes that creature unique followed by a short attribution of these unique qualities to God how he created it all. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Great for younger children
Very simple and quick stories/facts about animals that engage younger children at the same time it gives a biblical truth. Every story has a Bible verse and a couple of questions. Our kids loved it and we have since passed this treasure along to others.

Hard to see the relevance
I bought this book over a year ago to read with my two elementary school boys. We tried it then and it wasn't working, but I hoped that maybe they were just too young for it. We've now finished our other morning devotional book and I pulled this one out again. Unfortunately, we still don't like it.The animal facts are interesting, but we all find it a stretch to make the correlation between the animal and the devotion. For example, today's devotion was about bats. The story covered several different types of bats and included interesting facts. Then it went on with: vampire bats are dangerous because they can cause infection...so campers in South America should be warned...just like Paul warned people about evil and sin...the end. Huh?Aside from the big idea that all of God's creations are amazing in their diversity, we just are not getting too much out of this book.

Awesome book for children!
I give this book 5 stars because it really keeps my kids attention and is very informational. They look forward to reading these at night before bedtime. Easy enough for my first grader to read by herself outloud. Lots of good information about animals inside and relates to their characteristics and how God created such wonderful animals.

Ideal for 7 year olds who like nature
Our 7 year old really likes this at bedtimes. She's starting to read so has a try at reading along and it works well in Kindle format. Short, factual stories with biblical messages. Simple and rather lovely.

A Excellent Devotional Book
This is an excellent book for families with young school-aged children. It contains over 200 stories about nature and then has a set of questions and a devotional. Our children loved this book and the time we spent as a family.
