This charger seems to be of decent quality and rugged....But at a cost.First of all....It comes assembled, and is very difficult to figure out how to take it apart. The instructions are totally useless. Instructions dont mention anything about totally removing the rubber case from the plastic case.It comes with an extra "Frame". This is probably to replace the one you broke trying to get this thing apart.Secondly ...This thing is "HUGE" !!!! Not for the dainty handed people.I have not had this long enough to evaluate the batter life, but judging from its size, it should be good. I think I could jump start a truck with it.

This has got to be the thickest case I have ever owned and its not light either. So far the case is outstanding. The buttons on the side work perfectly. It has charged my phone from about 15% twice and still it had a little in reserve. It also has active prompts on the iPhone to let you know how long it will take to fully charge the phone and case. FINALLY! A case that actually works with Car Play! In short if you don't mind a case that will leave to leaning to one side. Will NOT fit any car holder I am aware of (would probably break any vent clip anyway). Can be used to defend yourself as it IS a "brick" then this is the case for you! Hands down better than the other 3 battery cases I have tried for the iPhone 12 Max pro.Update: So I am on my second case now. Apple car play stopped working. Didn't matter what cable I used it just wouldn't stay connected. Moving the Connected cable would cause it to loose connection. Could not charge the case without tucking the cable under the case to keep just enough pressure on the contacts. Sent an email to customer service and was told to try another cable then another. So I wasn't getting anywhere via that route but I really like this case. Maybe I did something to break it? I purchased another one. This time also purchasing a phone mount for my truck to keep tension and the potential for damage to the port at a minimum. After about a month or stated happening again and this time I think I found out why. It appears that after market iPhone charging cables are ever so slightly thinner, at the point where they plug in to the iPhone, that the original iPhone charging cables. It wasn't until we took a road trip (and I forgot my after market cable at home) I had to purchase a new cable from a apple store we just happened to be going by. When I returned home and plugged the phone in with the after market cable or was noticeably looser and would often loose connection to car play or even just charging. Since I stopped using the after market cable it has worked fine.

UPDATEZeroLemon kindly replaced my case under warranty. The prong that goes into the Lightening port broke. They replaced the second case too. After one day of use, the prong on it broke as well.ZeroLemon is a great company to work with and they honor their warranty. For some reason though, the prongs that go into the port aren’t strong enough to last.Again, this is a great company to work with and they are honorable.I purchased this from Amazon on January 20, 2021.Over the last two months, I've noticed the battery won't stay on to charge the phone after I press the back button. So, I have been charging my phone with a lightning cable or charging stand instead of using the battery in the case.During the last two weeks, it has gotten much worse. Two weeks ago I noticed I couldn't charge my phone with the case on via the lightning cable anymore. Therefore, I switched to charging the phone using my wireless charging stands. I kept the case on since I have always been able to charge with the case on. This worked until three days ago. I noticed my phone would only get to 25% max. I wouldn't take the phone off of the charger. I would just press the speaker button.During all of this, when I pressed the back button to get the phone to charge from the battery, only one light would light up, despite the many hours the phone was on the stand. The light would stay on for less than one minute. The battery in the phone should have been charged to 100%Yesterday, I had to leave the house, but couldn't because my phone was down to 10%. Since the phone doesn't charge via the lightning port anymore, I can't charge the phone in the car. I had to wait to leave my house so the phone could charge to 25%. The only way I was able to get it to charge in a reasonable amount of time was to remove it from the ZeroLemon case completely and use the charging stand. This leaves my phone unprotected. When I removed the case, I saw the prong was broken off from the ZeroLemon case and was in the lightning port. It is stuck. I can't get the prong out with tweezers nor pliers.To summarize, with the case onI can't charge the phone through the lightning port at all.I can't charge past 25% on a wireless charging stand.The one battery light that lights up, won't stay lit longer than one minute so the battery apparently isn't charging either.I know this phone case works well for some people. The concept is fantastic. Maybe mine wasn't checked by quality control before it was shipped to Amazon.

I really miss having durable battery cases. Now days it seems to be either a slim case with a bump for a battery or a battery that barely holds onto the phone neglecting the protection part of what a case is for. This case does protect the phone and the battery does work and is big which I like a lot. However there is a few issues with the cases design despite the companies name it feels a little like a lemon.Pros:- great protection- optional belt clip- large battery- it’s ruggid- it’s bulky... also a conCons:- the buttons in the case are WAY too easy to hit when grabbing the phone (number one gripe)- the silence loud switch is difficult to move and should be covered.- the case has some open areas without good seals around the phone letting pocket lint into the case which I don’t like- Its a little more bulky then I wish it was- didn’t work with a USB C quick charger iPhone brickSo my conciliation is if you like having a HUGE battery pack in your pocket that is your phone you will love this case. And yes this is part of the reason I bought this. But the main reason was the amount of protection for the screen and camera in the back WHILE having a battery included.Would I recommend: well if they fixed my main issues and had a slimmer version absolutely.... but they don’t so I would say it comes to if you can accept having such a big thing in your hands and pocket and want the protection.I use my phone A LOT all day and this case lets me use it all day and still come home with a phone with plenty of charge. Or go 2-3 days without charging if I use my phone less.The choice is yours but I hope I have helped
