This coloring book of shadows has great artistry,quaint folklore and usable simple spells. It’s a total escape to a world that exists parallel to ours. You know the one I speak of. I can’t wait to start making this my own, as I have done to my Hedge & Alchemy books. I love to brew a cup of my favorite tea put on some Celtic music and zone out for a bit in one of Amy’s books. For me it’s a “get away” of sorts. A breath of fresh air. I’m able to decompress from the rush of everyday and renew my mind. Season of the witch stands out with its traditional Halloween colors and hard cover which is my favorite. I feel like I’m a student at Hogwarts holding this book (one can dream). The pages are of a nice thickness and there are blank pages on the back of every printed so whatever medium you choose doesn’t bleed onto another drawing rendering it useless. Further, there are plenty of blank pages for your own thoughts, notes and spells. Amy thought of all the details in this book. I feel like she totally had our backs when she designed it (thanks ghoul) Please don’t start fall without this book. You’ll thank me later! I absolutely love Amy Cesari's work! I have almost all her coloring books and was so excited to get my hands on this Season of the Witch coloring book.I preordered this one, and Oddly enough the day my book arrived (which was earlier than it said it would) my grandmother had unexpectedly passed away that morning, just a few months after losing my maternal grandmother and grandfather. So although I have always seen Samhain as something more on the metaphorical side, there was no denying this came to me at the perfect time. It was kinda comforting to me to get read the included rituals for working with Ancestors and I also loved seeing the "family tree" page that you can color and include drawings or photos of your family and Ancestors.Honestly, The Season of the Witch is definitely one of my very favourites by Amy. You can tell the amount of thought, time and love she put into this book. It includes everything like crafts, rituals, spells, altar ideas, adorable games to color and play, lots of correspondence pages (my favorite), different types of divination to try, yummy snacks and treats to make, postcards, a banner and way more! Even if you do not color, this is a great book to own for ideas and info to celebrate Samhain. And This would also make for a perfect Witchy gift idea. But no matter who you're getting it for, I would highly recommend this and any other Coloring Book by Amy.I hope the added pictures help give an idea of what's included but just get this book, it's awesome, and you won't be sorry.

Another fun and useful book by Amy Cesari, this Season of the Witch has a little bit of everything for Samhain/Halloween. It would make a sweet gift for the New Witch or the seasoned Witch that likes a bit of whimsy. The book has lots of space to write your own ideas, spells and general information. The images are clear and easy to color.

The same doodles are repeated on multiple pages, like a literal copy paste. That is irritating enough but there are two pages featuring ouija boards and that is absolutely not okay with me and the magic I believe in and practice so I am returning. Disappointed as this was my first purchase from this illustrator and I don’t care to try any other of her other coloring books.

I am a big fan of Amy Cesari's Coloring Books of Shadows. They fit my eclectic witch path. The books are excellent learning tools as well as fun. She has outdone herself with this book. It explores legends and folklore, Deities of Samhain, rituals, working with spirits, tarot, crafts, brooms, decorative spell work, kitchen magic, the art of divination and Samhain correspondences. It is a cornucopia of information. The artwork is enchanting as well as informational. The written content is well written and easy to follow. Don't wait until Samhain to order. Do it now so you can explore the richness of this book and plan your own celebration.If you are not sure about coloring Amy has a wonderful online course that really enhances the coloring experience. After getting several books by Amy Cesari, I suggest keep looking. Although in this one she did not use both sides, however, it's a Samhain trainer/instruction booklet. It's fine, if that's what you want, buy it feels underhanded to tout this as a coloring book because definitely not. Drawings are still poor pencil sketches.

The Coloring Book of Shadows gave me a total "Wow" when I received it. It is longer than I thought, with much more good information. The coloring part is added fun. I will buy more books in her series.

I just love Amy’s books they never disappoint and this one for our favourite time of the year certainly doesn’t

The Book sadly arrived with damaged corners which considering the price was disappointing!( I purchased the hard cover copy )But inside the pages are lovely and perfect to colour in the way you choose,The references to Samhain & Halloween are written & made clearly and the images are beautiful,You won’t be disappointed with the book it is a true delight
