Purchased for the scent and hoped it would have a strong scent, it does!(I'm not a medical/science professional in any form, just a desperate soul who wants to kick a nasty habit)Read a study a while back that the scent of black pepper will help with smoking cessation.When the scent is inhaled it creates the same "throat feel" inhaling a cigarette creates, something that is missing and noticed by many smokers who swap over to vap sticks, lozenges or patches to help give the nasty things up for good.I thought it sounded like baloney science but as someone who is having a heck of a time quitting with other methods I figured it was worth a shot to at least give it a try. I don't know if it is "mind over matter" placebo thinking in effect, but it is helping. I put it in an oil warmer near my computer ( where I am the worst as a smoker) and keep the bottle near by so I can grab it for a whiff of the scent straight from the bottle as I use my vap sticks and it does create the same throat feel puffing on a cigarette creates and makes my vap stick feel more like the "real experience".Also have it in an oil warmer in my bedroom so I get a good string whiff when I first get up in the morning and the scent kind of jogs me awake thinking: "Today we aren't going for the pack of smokes!!"Add to this, the pepper scent in the air is a soothing "warm comfort" feeling inducer ...that helps me not crave a cigarette or my vap stick as often. I have also put it on some cotton pads and left them in my car, under the driver and passenger seat.I have noticed it has a decent "burn life" in the oil warmer. The scent is strong enough I don't need to keep adding more to keep the scent in the air. A few drops each morning and I am good to go for a full 24 hour period.Like I said, not a "professional" that would deal with this type of health issue in any way and it may be 100% placebo but for me, it is helping.

For the price it was ok - not great, not very high quality oil. As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for" is very true in this case. This EO is one of the expensive oils to buy out there regardless of brand - but of course, it doesn't necessarily mean just because the price is expensive, doesn't mean they're quality either...but there are specific brands that are consistently higher quality than this one. This is one EO of 6 that I use for treating various bodily aches/pains, especially in helping with fibromyalgia. But the quality/potency of this oil could be better. I was hoping I could save some money with this oil - but......

This is supposed to be a warning oil, however the oil I got is not. It hardly has any smell at all and no warming effects at all. I had diluted it at first with FCO like you should and nothing. Then I did a small test with the pure oil and still nothing. This is not the case with cinnamon, peppermint, eucalyptus, spearmint, etc. please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

only the second black pepper ive purchased, but i really like the way it compliments so many of my favorites. mixes great with citrisy flowery smells, and mixed with a carrier certianly has a warming affect. Not an oil I'd defuse alone, or at least i havent yet, but like I said its a great compliment to so many others, its got an almost neorli with heat smell. That discription probably has the more mature conisuer cringeing and maybe rightfully so,but i love neoli as well as this pepper I just cant fall asleep with the defuser pointed at me with black pepper in it with out waking up to realize like all peppers Im aware of, it has the same affect on our skin in lessor degree than most, unless your dumb and fall asleep with it landing directly on your face for a few hours. I certianly had no burns or anything requiring more than washing my face (in cool water) and adding moisterizer. I was asked about my complection for the remainder of the night. You mad about something?/ Hot? nope just a dumass. enjoy respectfully just like the bottle says
