In August 2006, Racecomp Engineering/GTWorx set out to design an all new lowering spring for the 2003-2007 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. This spring was intended to be unlike anything else currently available on the market and designed with continuous support and feedback from the very active Mitsubishi Evolution community. The goal was to produce something completely different, a lowering spring that had outright performance and ride quality as the two main goals. Only a subtle drop was desired, as it became clear that the community was more interested in grip rather then a low ride height. The result are the new GTWorx Street/Track EVO Springs. With spring rates about 10% stiffer then the Swift Sport Springs for EVO and a drop of 20mm up front and 15mm in the rear, these springs are not for those who are just looking a slammed ride. Body roll is vastly reduced, and yet the ride height allows the use of such higher spring rates without sacrificing ride quality. The extra travel of the taller ride hieght also allows the damper to soak up mid-corner bumps without bouncing off the rubber bumpstops. About 10% stiffer then Swift EVO Springs. 20mm drop front. 15mm drop rear.
