Excellent quality
Have used ABUS locks for years, but now have to double check and make sure they are German made. Some of their lower end locks unfortunately are now made in China. Their German-made locks are superb.

sturdy and confident
love this small lock as a gym lock. works well and gives me better peace of mind than any other lock in its class. feels like it will last longer than me hahaa

Sturdy, strong
This hasn't been tested by any thieves, but it looks very sturdy/strong and the point of attack is limited, because because the clasp is short and once the chain is on, there's virtually nowhere to cut or saw. Considering price point, I think this was a good value and it's easy to use.

Great padlock.
This padlock is of much higher quality than the Public Storage-branded disc padlock it replaced (and for $20 it should!). Inserting the key is effortless, and the cylinder turns with a solid "thunk". I mistakenly ordered the 60mm instead of the 70mm, but it worked for my needs so I'm OK with it. I like that the key code is printed on the key instead of a little metal tag that will inevitably get lost; I'm not sure if locksmiths can copy the keys, and a replacement is something like $8-$10 from Abus, and you'll need to provide them with that key code (don't lose both keys without having it written down!). My storage unit I lock with this is indoors, so I'm not sure how well the little plastic keyhole cover works but it seems sturdy enough to make a difference. The various options available (24IB/70 B KA, 70 B KD) are mystifying at first, but I eventually figured out the distinction made between keyed-alike, keyed-differently, with-cover, without-cover, etc.

Bike is still here, so...
I have used ABUS disk locks for years. I bought this one to use on a bicycle cable lock for my recent cross-country (and back) trip. I drove about 6,000 miles with this lock securing a long, thick cable on two bikes on the back of my vehicle. Nobody made off with the bikes, even though the car was parked, bikes on back, in hotel parking lots for several nights. So, I guess the lock worked. Or, maybe I was just lucky. At any rate, I will continue using ABUS locks. They function smoothly and reliably, and are undoubtedly the strongest part of my bike security plan.

German quality.
I wanted a nice secure lock for my locker at work. The shackle is a little smaller in diameter than the other disk locks so it fits the smaller hole on lockers. Plus it’s not Chinese. It’s made in Germany, so it is of excellent quality. I got a new lock for my locker after watching all of the YouTube videos of how easy it is to pop open the Master lock that I had. It was the combination lock that lets you choose your own combination.

Cheaply made
This lock is cheaply made, with obvious burrs and defects in the steel. After only a few months, with little use, it's already finicky and takes some fiddling to unlock.

Excellent outdoor lock
Weathered several storms with no issues, easy to lock and unlock. I did spray with a bit of teflon to coat the tumblers so expect this to last much longer than the master lock version.

The best padlock I've ever owned. Convenient yet tough.
The Abus Diskus lock is pure genius, and I can't believe they aren't more widespread. Not only does the 24/60 fit a standard school or gym locker perfectly, but the shrouded shackle should in theory make it nearly impossible to defeat with bolt cutters. The rotating mechanism makes it quick and easy to lock/unlock, as you simply need to roughly align the padlock with the hasp and rotate the key to secure the padlock into place. It literally takes under a second to access your locker! Other padlocks require you to fumble with the U-shaped shackle and the hasp to secure them in place... not a problem with this bad boy!As far as I know, the main vulnerability of this lock is that the tumbler could be melted down using a propane torch, thus defeating the lock, but let's be honest... no lock is perfect, and I don't think the average gym locker thief carries a propane torch around or would spend so much time on breaking into a single locker, so you're probably safe.As for the price, I think CA$27 is very reasonable for a premium lock like this one. I wouldn't trust those ubiquitous $5 Master padlocks, because they are literally defeated in seconds (if that), and replacing my phone, my laptop or my wallet would be orders of magnitude more expensive than acquiring this Diskus lock in the first place.

Great quality product. Sturdy and Secure.
Using this lock in combination with an Abus 10KS chain. It's an excellent product and has a very smooth locking mechanism. Feels very strong and secure. Couldn't be happier.

Good padlock
Good locker padlock, but the shackle may be too large for Pelican style cases.

Secure lock for school locker
I use it on a school locker because I have a laptop inside. It's secure.

Much Smaller then I thought.
It's a good lock for the value, but I didn't realize how small it was. Luckily it will just do the job for my big chain.
