OX Tuff Carbon - Marking Pencil Value Pack

I'm just a DIYer. Why would I need to spend that much on a pencil?! Best buy ever. Just get one! Makes life so much easier. The pouch works well and the pencil is always there. Better than behind your ear! Lead is strong so no breaking and seems to really last too.Treat yourself!

i use this everyday at work, only fault is the lock feature it wore down rather fast but still a great marking pencil for carpenters/joiners etc...

These are good if you work indoors, but when you are out in the rain they dont last long. You might get a few weeks or months out of it, but once it gets wet inside its unusable. The lead just slides back inside with any pressure, but while it works its good. The lines are dark and easy to see, stay sharp for a decent amount of time. Just wish the rain wouldnt destroy them

Seriously, I used to go through pencils like they were going out of fashion. It was very a common occurrence where the leads would break or the pencils would be lost in the work area. No more! A much larger diameter of graphite core means less likelihood of breakages, there is a sharpener in the holster meaning no more excessive waste when using a craft blade to cut the tip to a sharp point, and the holster......Best part of this kit. The pencil is always on my belt, and as it clicks into the holster, it is never lost.

The media could not be loaded.  The pencil looks very nice and professional and a mechanical one it's always better than the traditional one but in this case the Graphite Lead keeps sliding in when you try to mark something or it just doesn't get out when you push that "button".This is not just my case... several ppl who I work with had one as well and they had the same issue!! We all switched to the cheap ones even if they don't look that good!Note:Probably this also depends on how much you use it and on what surface. In my case I use it mainly on concrete for setting out external walls ( SFS ).... even though I don't really see how is this so important, in the end I'm not buying it to sign the attendance sheet or the tool box talk and I'm sure it's gonna be as efficient as on concrete depending on the pressure and the angle you are holding it at 🙈

Bought this for general DIY and some woodworking. Much better than the ordinary click-to-extend pencils I was using, as the graphite on those constantly break when working with rough grained material. This one is thick enough to be sturdy, but not so wide that it can't be used to mark with accuracy. The integrated sharpener is a nice touch too, so you never have to search for it if you need a touch up.I haven't used the other two inserts - but I imagine they would be useful if working with other materials, like metal or concrete.
