This Book Changed My Life!
My chi was out of adjustment; I lacked any moral grounding, and was adrift in a sea of confusion. Then I came across George’s book and my life has been turned around. Seriously, if you are reading this then you probably know of George Hrab. Perhaps you know him from listening to his music, or from his involvement in the skeptical community, or maybe from his weekly Geologic Podcast (no geology content whatsoever). In that case you have already been exposed to the brilliant humor of Geo, and you really shouldn’t need to be sold on this book. If not, then this is a great introduction to Geo’s world. Each chapter is a standalone essay containing insights from the slightly warped mind of George. Many of these began as weekly emails sent to supporters of his podcast. All of them are very funny. So whether are interested in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Digital Hedgehog, or The Ramifications of Punching a Horse, you are likely to find something to tickle your fancy in this volume. If you are unsure as to whether or not you will appreciate George’s humor, check out his podcast at geologicpodcast.com. If you are a regular listener to his podcast, then why the heck isn’t this book in your collection already?!One word of warning: If friends or coworkers see you reading this book, be prepared for some uncomfortable conversations. One of my coworkers saw me with this book and proceeded to tell me about his week on a cleanse. This was much more information than I needed to know.
